Don't let the media black out Ron Paul, even though he's winning all the polls the media keeps telling you he has no chance or just plain not discussing it at all. Do not let them sweep a good candidate under the rug and put their sock puppets in the white house.
He won 2nd in the debate, by only 200 votes yet no news source wanted to discuss him the next day, they'd talk about the 1st, 3rd and 7th place before they talk about Ron Paul.
The official number of votes counted in the 2011 Iowa Straw Poll is 16,892. The general breakdown of the total is as follows:
4823 – Michelle Bachmann
4671 – Ron Paul
2293 – Pawlenty
1657 – Santorum
1456 – Cain
718 – Perry
567 – Romney
385 – Gingrich
69 – Huntsman
35 – McCotter
He is pro-constitution, they do not want this. If there are any of the candidates worth voting for it's Ron Paul. He's not flip flopped on any of his agendas during his whole campaign and position as congressman.
If you have doubts, I encourage you, do your research, do not let them outright demonize and black him out.
I do not agree with a lot of what Ron Paul says. For example, I think regulations and regulators need to be increased, not decreased.
However, I do think like a lot of what he says as well. I also like that he sticks with what he says, regardless of whether I like it or not, and regardless of whether it's popular or not.

Yeah, I think most libertarians were born into relatively good positions in society and probably don't study socioeconomic history at all. Then again, that describes most conservatives.

He is refreshing compared to the main-stream conservatives, I agree with that. I espcially applauded his answer that corporations (ahem, Romney) are not people and that rights reserved for individuals shouldn't also be extended to them.
My dad said if Michelle Backmenn or any of those idiots win the presidency he is going to sell the house and move back to Armenia and open a business there because this country will go into the toilet. Then he said this country is already in the toilet so voting for any of them will be like flushing the toilet.
If you add the bottom 7 they only beat him out by 216
I belong to no political party. I'm in the USMC MOS 7314 (i fly UAV's) and what i fight for is a free America. Alot of people say we are free, i disagree. Gays are just now being able to openly serve, but they can not be legally married in most places because "it's against the constitution" (i'm not gay i'm just making a point). And i bet you when our country was first founded they didn't even think about immagration laws.....it's the land of the free.....let them all in who cares it's THIER choice. I want a good honest American who isn't head fucked by political media to stand up and be president. one who is not afraid to make the RIGHT desicions instead of the popular ones. I want the words "politacally korrect" to be illegal to use in the same sentence. I want my vote to count as a direct vote and be rid of the electoral college....... I want America to be free,....and that is why i serve. I do not serve the president. I serve the people. If America decides its time for a revolution I'm on your side.
I know i got off topic about RP but i wanted to voice this.
No, unless you consider everyone running to be an idiot. I just meant almost any R's and some D's. I agree with Ron Paul on many things but I also agreed with Obama on many things and look what that shitface has done.
God Bless Brother, the only thing that I would add to your ideas is that we enact term limits on all senators/reps. That way we constantly have new fresh ideas, and dont give the bastards a chance at making a career out of screwing the people who make everything work.
I want my vote to count as a direct vote and be rid of the electoral college.......
The major problem with this is that the majority of the American population is too stupid to be allowed a direct vote. Hell, a large number of people still believe that Iraq had nukes. There needs to be a large and extreme change in America before a direct vote would be plausible.

The problem with Obama is that he's trying to bring people together while the two main parties wants to tear the government apart. If he had, for example, strongarmed the Health Care bill through, it would of been much, much more effective, and he would of suffered far less politically.
That being said, I do agree that there are a number of things Obama has done vastly wrong. (More unconstitutional wars for example.)
*** **** Brother, the only thing that I would add to your ideas is that we enact term limits on all senators/reps. That way we constantly have new fresh ideas, and dont give the bastards a chance at making a career out of screwing the people who make everything work.
I've been saying this for years. Granted, you have to realize, not even the Presidency originally had a term limit. Which President was it that had four terms?
It's nice to live in Canada when I watch US politics. Ron Paul seems decent so I guess that's why he's not being shown in the media.
From an outsider's perspective, most of the Republican front-runners seems stupid or crazy or both? It's funny to me because in Canada we have 3 main parties, TWO of which are left-leaning. Yet, it seems in the US that the left party is at the center and the right party is so far right...?
I like Obama; I'd like to see him succeed and I'd like to see the US succeed. It's good for us all!
Edit: And we don't have term limits on our leader in Canada. If we like him he stays... why not?

The president who had four terms was Roosevelt going into WW2. As to the comment about our man flying UAv's come on, hes a united states marine, dont hack at the man.
As to the comment about our man flying UAv's come on, hes a united states marine, dont hack at the man.
First, I don't hold back on anybody regardless of what they choose to do for a job. Second, I wasn't hacking him for his job, I was merely stating I would want to do something different. Third, please don't be rude. Thanks!
Well, of what I have seen of Canada, Canadians are not exactly what I'd call power crazed fools like Americans are.
Into The Fire was filmed in Toronto.
Different nations are just sneakier about what they do. A country as large as the US is bound to scramble a few eggs when they start slowly stripping away freedoms.
As for the republic/democrat debate that was sort of mentioned earlier. I am neither. I look at the candidates beliefs and how they conduct themselves. I don't believe in political parties since half of the time when someone is voted into office that all goes out the window anyways. I'm for someone who wants to uphold the constitution.
For those of you who think Obama is innocent, there is an interesting documentary called The Obama Deception you should watch. It's not really bashing Obama it's simply pointing out he is also apart of the globalist agenda. Just like Bush Jr and Senior, Clinton, Reagan, Hell we haven't had a president that wasn't cherry picked since JFK and we see what happened there.
If you start looking at what each president has done they either do the opposite of what they say, or they break the constitution, or they're sweeping under the rug the bad things they have done. They have all been bad, do some research. Our defecit got better but that had little to do with Clinton and more to do with the Federal Reserve. A fraudulently named super bank that almost literally owns America. According to the Board of Governors, the Federal Reserve is independent within government in that "its decisions do not have to be ratified by the President or anyone else in the executive or legislative branch of government." If you look hard enough almost every president lately has had their dirty hands in the Federal Reserve and other banks, which is about as Federal as Federal Express.
Keep an open mind and look for some of this stuff, they are distracting us with this whole Democrat VS Republican fiasco. It's really them pushing votes toward who they already pre-determined should be the president. Politics today is about as real as professional wrestling, they're at eachothers throats on TV, then they go and attend things like Bilderberg and Bohemian grove with eachother where where members of corporations and main stream media mingle with politicians. They discuss political issues with foreign politicians (which is a violation of the The Logan Act.) At Bohemian Grove amidst media, corporation elite, and western european big wigs, the Manhattan Project was brain stormed which led to the creation of the atomic bomb.
These people are corrupt to the core and it sickens me to see this. For anyone who has read George Orwell's 1984, I'd like to quote Alex Jones.
Quote from "Alex Jones" »
The answer to 1984 is 1776.
We need to reclaim our rights and raise our constitution to the glory it once was.
Ron Paul's in a better position than you might think. He could take out his revenge on the Republicans and just run as an independent and totally take away Republic votes in the 2012 election. Ross Perot did the same thing back in the 90's.
The media unfortunately has a way to do exactly what Stewart was pointing out there. But seriously, that he came in second in that poll, it's gonna count for something. He didn't even lose to Bachmann by a lot, but by not much.
For the record, Jon Huntsman was a great governor of Utah and did some really great things for my state. I think he knew he had no real chance to win the nomination. He's just doing what Romney is which is establishing loyalty to the Republicans, taking his blows, and then coming back around for a second run. I'm certain Hunstman will run again. I'm sure by then though he'll be so compromised I'll have lost much respect for him. But really he was a good governor.

They're trying to ignore him. He is a good candidate. If you're not familiar you can check out his debate answers here.

LOL. The entirety of this situation just baffles me. Cant someone just fix washington>?
I know i got off topic about RP but i wanted to voice this.
Nice. Though if I was in the military, I'd want to actually pilot planes, not just control the take off and landing of UAV's.
Anyway, enough

Forget what I said, Canadians are just as power thirsty as Americans.
That being said, however, the Constitution is as glorious as it has always been. The problem isn't that, it's simply that nobody follows it anymore.
