"I think we should take the bridge. I am still tired from our endeavors yesterday and I dread to even imagine what horrible monsters could be waiting for us in that cave."
And with that said the four travelers headed East. Walking next to the deep crevasse that separated them from Kaelan's home town. Kaelan once again lead the pack as William and his mother stayed in the middle. Sara, the mysterious member of the team trailed in the back. The four walked for hours cautious of any noise, weary that it may be some grotesque monster. The group finally reached a cliff side with a majestic waterfall flowing from above and pouring into the crevasse below. There the bridge stood, ropes and boards strung together to make a passage way to the other side. Showing definite signs of aging, the bridge swayed in the wind. Sounds of rope whipping and wood cracking were muted out by the thundering roar of the waterfall.
Kaelan was the first to step onto the bridge, hoping to show confidence to the others in its sturdiness.
"Don't worry" Kaelan announced, "It is safe, I have crossed this bridge many times in my life."
When Kaelan was about half way across, William's mother took one step onto the bridge as she heard the crack of the wood. She quickly withdrew her foot unsure of the quality of this bridge.
"Maybe we should have gone through the cave." Abby announced fearful if the bridge.
"Trust me, it's safe." Kaelan answered back.
Abby took another step onto the bridge trying to press as lightly as she could with her foot. Step after step, William's mother made her way across the bridge. William soon followed with little caution, showing great confidence in Kaelan's word. Sara remained the only one left on the the Southern side. Sara began the trek across the bridge when another fallen jumped out of the bushes behind her. Sara ran quickly towards the others while the fallen chased after her. The fallen imp was slicing at Sara's ankles as she continued her pace across the bridge.
"Jump!!" Kaelan yelled as he took his sword and sliced the brace of the bridge causing the rope to tear. He then slices to the other side completely severing the bridges connection to the ground.
Just as Kaelan made his last swipe, Sara jumped for the ledge while the bridge fell down into the crevasse with the imp still on it. Sara stood on the ledge with just her toes reaching as she started to loose her balance and started falling backwards. William reached out his arm and grabbed Sara's arm. With all of his strength, William pulled Sara back towards him as they both fell to the ground.
"That's twice now you have saved my life." Sara stated as they both stood back up.
"Come on, let's go" Kaelan announced showing little emotion to what just happened.
The four continued their journey towards Kaelan's homeland.
"Where exactly do you live?" William asked, unsure of their actual destination.
"I live in a town at the base of Mount Arreat" Kaelan responded.
"Great, a bunch of barbarians" Sara muttered under her breath.
As they continued walking Kaelan reached out his arm signaling for the others to stop.
"SHH.." Kaelan whispered.
Kaelan continued slowly as he saw a man in the bushes. He looked closer and noticed that the man was not only hiding in the bushes but observing a fallen imp who was walking around in a clearing. William approached Kaelan to figure out what he was looking at. William also spots the man and looks at Kaelan.
Should William:
A. Shout towards the man alerting him and the fallen.
B. Try to approach the man quietly to figure out what is going on.
C. Tell Kaelan to leave the man and his mysterious action so they can continue their journey towards Mount Arreat.

William crept closer to the mysterious man in the bushes, cautious of the man's odd behavior. William approached closer and closer, with another step taken, William steps on a dead broken branch lying on the floor.
*Crack* the branch sounds as the mysterious man turns around looking at William.
"Shh.. Come here." the man says as he signals for William to come to his perch in the bushes. William, uncertain at first, looks back towards Kaelan for reassurance. Kaelan nods in agreeance for William to investigate what is going on. William met up with the man in the bushes as the man pushed aside some branches to give a clear view of the fallen imp that he was looking at.
"Look, when these smaller ones are separated that get confused and feel lost. This one has just been pacing in circles after getting separated from the rest of his group. How fascinating." the man told William with great enthusiasm.
The man leaves his hiding spot as he backs up from the bush to stand up. William follows the man out of the bushes as he looks at him. The man, covered in robes, has scrolls tucked into his belt and books strung from his back.
"My name is Jethera. I am an archivist. I have spent the last ten years of my life archiving anything and everything. Within the last few years I have seen and discovered many monsters, ones that I have never seen before. These monsters are capable of destroying entire towns if they so wish."
The other three members appear from around the corner. Jethera takes a quick step backwards unaware of their presence.
"Aww, a barbarian and an assassin, working together." Jethera announces.
"We are not working together. We ended up here together, that is all." Sara responds. "Anyway, what are you doing here?" she asks.
"I have followed a group of these red beasts here. One of them was separated from his group and I have been studying his behavior."
Sara walks over to the bush the man came from and sees the fallen imp. She leaps over the bush and with one slash from her newly obtained claw, slices the head of the fallen right off. She returns from the bush with the monsters head in her hands.
"Here you go, study all you want."
"Anyway.." Jethera says upset about Sara's actions. "Where are you headed?" he asks
"We are headed to my home town near the base of Mt.Arreat." Kaelan responds.
Should William:
A.Invite Jethera to join their journey.
B.Let Jethera continue his research and leave him behind as they continue.

"Please" William plied, "Why don't you come with us?"
Jethera looked at this rag tag team. A Barbarian leading these people, an assassin that seems to have some inner turmoil, and a boy and his mother.
"I would love to continue this journey with you guys" Jethera answered as he collected his books and scrolls.
"Alright, lets go than. We still have a day or two before we reach my home." The Barbarian announced.
The group of five now continued their path towards Mt.Arreat, many of them not knowing what awaited them there. Clueless to their destination William found it more suitable than returning home to the burning village and dead father they had left behind.
Jethera approached Sara inquisitive of her mysteriuos demeanor.
"I don't mean to pry but..." Jethera commented
"Then don't" Sara quickly replied.
"It is just that I have never had the chance to actually meet an assassin. I find your group of people so interesting, hunting down rogue mages. That must be a fascinating life you live." Jethera eagerly exclaimed.
"It's not as great as it sounds" Sara bluntly replies. "Have you ever had to kill another human being?" Sara asked Jethera.
"No, I haven't" Jethera answered pondering the implications of killing another person. "I see what you mean" Jethera added enlightened by the simple comment made by Sara.
"If you don't mind me asking, have you ever killed another person" Jethera asked afraid of the answer.
"No" Sara answered hesitantly.
"You haven't" Jethera replied surpried of the answer. "How is that possible?"
"I feel in love with my first target" Sara explained "I was ordered to kill a man by the name of Azul-Jathar. He was a mage who had apparently become to strong for his own good. He had killed three other men and it was my job, at the age of seven-teen to end his life. I was eager at first, I had trained my whole life and I was finally getting the chance to use my skills. I hunted down my target in a city near Caldeum. The man was living in a shack in the desert. I watched him vary closely for days to educate myself on him in order to learn his strengths and weaknesses. I watched for five days to see only a lonely man, living on his own, with barley the motivation to feed himself each day. I was so inquisitve of this man who killed others but now was barley able to keep himself alive. I disguised myself as a guard of Caldeum and approached his shack. I knocked on the door but he did not answer. I announced myself as a guard and ordered the man to open the door. The door slowly opened as the man claimed to not wnat any trouble. He had told me that he was merely trying to live a life off solitude and did not want to cause anyone any harm. Surprised by the cowardice of the man, I reluctantly decided to reveal myself. The man lowered hiself to my feet and claimed he was sorry for what happened. He claimed it was a mistake, and that he couldn't control his powers. He told me that he never meant to harm anyone and that his pwoers got the best of him. That is why he ran away to live byhimslef to insure nobody else ever got hurt because of him. I sympathized for the man, he was obviously already destoryed by his own guilt of his actions. I became closer and closer to the man. We shared stories of our past and our ambitions when we were younger. News of my betrayal to the assassins soon reached my leader and a new assassin was sent to kill my target and me. One day while we were asleep another assassin crashed through the door and struck Azul-Jathar in the chest with her claws. she pulled them out from his lifeless body and turned towards me. We fought back and forth until I finally sliced her throat. I watched her slowly die right in front of me. I buried Azul-Jathar and wondered the desert for weeks. I just kept walking, unsure of what to do. I had given up on life, finding myself in these forests as three men were about to kill me and I was going to let them. That is when that young boy up there saved my life. He not only killed my attackers but renewed my motivation to live. Seeing how brave he was to defend a complete stranger, I felt I had to return the favor."
"Whoa, what a story!" Jethera exclaimed as he was writing down the entire thing into a book.
Just as Sara's story ended the group came upon an enormous mountain range.
"This is all that stands between us and my home" Kaelan announced.
The five members slowly started their trip into the steep mountains. The forests quickly ended as they were greeted with a frozen wind. Snow began covering the ground and the travelers felt the frigid air blowing on them. the snow began falling so hard it was blinding the travelers sight.
Should William:
A. Suggest finding cover until the snow breaks

"Perhaps we should find shelter" William yelled across the blanket of snow fall.
"Good idea" Jethera responded back to him.
"Fine" Kaelan replied as he walked around trying to find a shelter for the travelers.
"Over here, there's a cave over here." Sara shouted out as she waved the others over towards her location.
The five travelers each staggered into the cave, frozen from the wintery storm. William sat his mother down as he attempted to warm her by keeping their bodies close together.
Jethera pulled out a scroll from his satchel and laid it down onto the ground. Jethera ran his hands over the scroll as a small flame began to appear. Jethera placed his hand over it again and fire erupted, warming up the travelers in the cave. Everyone but Kaelan huddled around the fire's warmth.
Jethera stood up and walked towards the Kaelan.
"Do you not wish to warm up?" Jethera asked Kaelan.
"No need" Kaelan responded, "I am use to these frigid highlands. The cold feels good filling my lungs."
"I understand" Jethera agreed, "I guess growing up here gets you use to this weather."
Kaelan looses focus on Jethera as hee looks out through the snow. Kaelan draws his sword and shield from his back.
"A monster is approaching" Kaelan warned the others.
The travlers stood up and walked towards the cave's entrance.
"I don't see anything" William stated as he held his hand over his eyes trying to block the snow from interferring with his vision.
"Over there" Kaelan pointed over towards a black figure in the distnace.
The travelers all looked over to the black mass as it became larger and larger the closer it came.
A giant beast soon stood right in front of the five travelers. William took his mother's arm and dragged her into the back of the cave.
"Stay back there" Kaelan commanded William.
Kaelan, Sara, and Jethera ran out of the cave and approached the hideous monster. Kaelan looked up at the towring beasts, all four of the monsters arms reached for Kaelan. Kaelan swung his sword as he jumped out of the way, striking the beasts arm.
"Raaaaawr!!" the monster bellowed shaking loose the sonw from the mountain.
Sara ran up towards the monster running up his back and digger her claws into the monster with each step up the monster. The monster reached behind him with his top right arm and grabbed Sara. Throwing her across the ground, Sara slammed into a rock injuring her leg. Jethera stepped up as he widened his arms. Scrolls and books flew forth from his satchel swirling around him in a tornado. Jethera thrusts his arm forward as the tornado target the beast. Books and scrolls smakced the beaast throwing him off balance. Kaelan took his cue and ran forward thrusting his shield into the belly of the beast as the monster came crashing down into the ground.
Jethera walked closer to the beast, thinking that the monster was subdued. Right as Jethera was about to cast another spel towards the beast. The giant monster grabbed Jethera's leg as the monster stood back up. Holding Jethera in the air the beast grabbed Jethera's arm and with little effort ripped the man into two pieces. Split right down the middle, Jethera's body was thrown down to the ground, his left side landing towards William by the entrance of the cave.

I agree. A seems to be the only option, unless for some reason the cave is really small and the monster can't reach them. On a side note, I hate you. I let you cameo my character and you kill him, ripped in half.
"I can't stand here and watch all of them die" William exclaimed to his mother. William left his mother side and exited the cave.
"WILLIAM!!" Abby cried.
There William stood face to face with the demon that had just ripped another man in two. William held out his Father's sword and widen his stance. William stood there with his knees shaking.
Kaelan looked over and saw the brave little boy emerge from the cave. Proud of his actions, Kaelan ran over to William's side.
"Let's do this" Kaelan shouted out. The two men charged towards the beast, both with their swords high into the air.
"AAHHHH!!" William screamed as he approached the giant monster. William swung his sword downward with all of his strength, striking one of the arms of the hideous beast.
"RARGH!!" the beast bellowed out as William's sword struck his arm. Kaelan followed soon behind him completely severing off another arm of the beast.
Filling confident, William ran up towards the beast's belly. His sword raised in the air once again, William began piercing his sword down aimed straight at the gut of the monster. Just as his sword was about to penetrate flesh, William felt a force grab his ankle. William dropped his Father's sword to the ground at his body was raised up into the air by the howling beast.
"NO!!" Kaelan let out as he attempted to free William from his ill-fated death. Kaelan jumped up to lice another arm from the beast when the enormous fist from another arm drove right into Kaelan. Kaelan's body feel right back down to the ground. The beast picked up Kaelan and hurled his body back and forth, slamming him into the ground multiple times.
The beast stood there with Kaelan and William both hanging from his hands. Both afraid of what was going to happen to them, William shut his eyes. He hung there for what seemed like hours waiting for his life to end but it never came. William opened his eyes to see the beast just standing there. The beast's head slowly lowered to his chest as Sara's body came into view. Sara stood there on the monster's back with one of her katars dug deep into the crown of the skull of the monster's head. The monsters grip loosened as he and William and Kaelan fell to the floor.
Sara walked up to Kaelan and quietly said " You can pay me back later" with a sense of arrogance over the Barbarian.
William ran back into the cave and consoled his mother who was in a poll of tears, afraid that she might loose what was left of her family.
"Mom, its o.k." William told her hoping to calm her down. William helped his mother off of the floor and walked back over to the other two.
"The snow has lifted" Kaelan announced, "We should make our way to my home city finally".
The original four members began their walk again through the mountains to Kaelan home city.
After several more hours of walking, they travelers where finally met with the gates of the promised city.
"Welcome everyone to Harrogath." Kaelan proclaimed.
Kaelan, William, Abby, and Sara and walked through the gates of the city.
"Where are we going" asked William.
Should the travelers head to:
A. Kaelan's house.
B. The cities tavern.

Because I don't think we'll get to find any awesome treasure under a bridge.
