Exactly. I would not like to lose even a drop of this. There may be some intruders who would like to kill us. They may mix it with anything we drink or eat, and we'll no longer be able to enjoy this world.

Carloseus struggles in the inferno to keep consciousness as the creatures of fire beat him around, an object of their amusement as they rain blows on him.
Suddenly a man came into focus, one taller, stronger, and a bit older than himself. At his hand was a gigantic blade, larger even than his own. The younger warrior suddenly stopped at dead center of the offenders, in front of him was the newest to his nightmare. "Trust your instincts." said the other. He knew this voice and the words echoed in his mind, trying to find the lost memory from which he had heard it before. The spawns of flame now angered rushed at the two, preparing a torment for the interruption of their game. The defender swung his sword and sliced each of them. Instantly they lost solidity, and dispursed into many smaller fires which vanished in mid-air. The surrounding area transformed from an endless space of fire and red, to a more familiar setting.
Carloseus stood on a rock, to one side a large pool at the base of a waterfall. To his other side was a forest, its trees ancient yet still full of energy, life, and excitement. At the center of the pool was another rock, on which stoo his saviour.
"There are many things in life that will hold you back. Don't let yourself be one of them. Trust your insticts, and your heart. For those will guide you to your true purpose." said the older. He then turned around, and walked away into the curtain of the waterfall. Before Carloseus could make another move, everything swept away again, and he was no longer in any way conscious.
After getting my herbs and roots sorted out and having a nice relaxing cup of tea - I head for my room.
"Good night Zubin."
As I pass by Carloseus' room and I hear him thrashing about then silence. Worried, I glance in to check on him and Venex. I approach them and notice that they wet with perspiration, I grab a nearby cloth and pat away at their heads while checking to see that they are breathing regularly. They are, s I then make my exit and head down to my room.

The day became night, and night became day once again. His entire shirt and the ends of his leggings were torn and ripped, exposing healed skin. Skin that the night was before was badly cut and bruised. His body also seemed to shrink, he no longer had the commanding presence the dungeon had given him, or had his body changed to allow him to fight better?
His rate of recovery was incredible. He was now awake inside his head, unable to wake his body yet. He was trapped, doomed to wait until his vessel was completely healed and ready to start again.
Ugh, I had to turn on the reserves....I had to show how good I was. he mentally sighed. He was glad of course, according to what he could tell of his body it was healing incredibly fast for such damage taken, regardless of Cinara's help. He breathed deeply, and calmed himself completely, relieving his mind of anything he shouldn't concentrate on.
The adventurers woke early, put in a good hearty breakfast, they still had a long road a head of them. But they would persevere.
"We thanks you again for your hospitality Garren Winspear" Sir Elric said. "But we really must be going. Athkatla awaits we should dally no longer."
"Then I wish you well on your journey friends." said Garren. "As I said before, you will always be welcome here, upon your return."

Zubin got up and thanked Garren for the resources and help he provided. He walked aside and picked up all his belonging and the newly made potions and put them all in a ragged cloth and then inside his bag.
He got ready to start another journey.

Carloseus adjusted the necromancer on his back, wrapped the straps to his hand from the bulking dragonscale sled behind him, and followed the rest.
"Sir Elric, is there somewhere ahead that we can stop and repair our armor? I also need to find someone who can work this dragonscale." he asked the paladin.
*Zubin saw Caloseus picking up Venex on his shoulders and suddenly said*
''Oh man. I forgot to pick up Venex's belongings. Just wait a minute and I shall get them.
*Zubin then went away and came back in a minute, holding a ragged cloth in which he put Venex's belongings. He smiled and put the cloth inside his bag*
''So. We're ready now?''

That was the best uninterrupted sleep I've had in awhile, I thought to myself as I gathered my things for the trip ahead. I went out and enjoyed the breakfast Garren had laid out, noticing that I was the last to awaken and everyone had already eaten.
I made my way down the hall and peeked in on Carloseus and Venex. To my surprise Carloseus was looking well for all the damage he had taken recently. However, Venex was still slumbering. I asked Carloseus if he needed any help with Venex but he said he had everything under control.
I joined up with Zubin and Thufir as we bid our farewells, thanked Garren for his generosity, and started on our way.

"I'd be glad to...give you..." he stopped walking, and let go of the pack behind him. With the free hand he grabbed at his chest slowly, as if something began to bother him.
"What the?!" he said. His eyes lit up momentarily, and his body tensed momentarily. He fell to his knees, the necromancer at his shoulder falling deftly to his side, and with his eyes still open he fell face first into the cold hard ground. His breathing was nonexistant, as well was any hint of life. Perhaps it was due to excessive stress he suffered in the dungeon, however this was a candidate for the work of a dark mage. The grass to either side of their path swayd gently as the warrior lay silently still.
Garren and his family were sitting down to enjoy a quiet meal when Sir Elric burst through the door holding the body of Carloseus.
"Garren! Garren" the paladin exclaimed. "He has fallen ill to something strange."
Sir Elric?" Queried Garren. "you return so soon. What's wrong?"
"Carloseus. He has been stricken by some unknown force" Balgarath said.
"By the Gods!" exclaimed Garren. "Well we better fix him a bed, Iltha!! prepare a bed for the young man."
"I would hate to trouble you, but would it be possible for you to watch over him in the mean time, we must hurry to Athkatla, and sadly in this state he would only slow us all down."
"It is no trouble at all this young man help me in my hour of need, 'tis only fair that I repay the favour." said Garren. "Though I must say, I had not expected to repay his debt quite so soon. I shall have a doctor look at him as soon as I can, but for now we must make sure he gets his rest. Well, it is good to see you again, let us hope our next meeting is under more pleasant circumstances."
"Indeed." replied Sir Elric. "Until our paths cross again, my friend."

A terrible commotion would be audible to the party. Pots and pans clanking together in some odd fashion or another and the sound of a mule hee-hawing as it ran up on them.
The monk was fastened tight to the rope attached to the mule. The monk was being dragged through the dirt and stirring up quite a bit of dust as the two approached the party.
Once the mule had gotten close to them all he stopped. The monk lay on the ground, his clothing mostly shredded and he unconscious.

"Thank you again Garren, I am at a loss concerning Carloseus' illness it is far beyond my healing skills. I only hope he can overcome all the internal demons and that the doctor that comes can aid him."
As the rest of the party prepared to leave, a commotion is stirred up on the other side of the house. Then the monk's mule appears dragging its owner behind it. I grab a rag and run over to his aid. I begin cleaning his wounds and applying salve, a quick once over with my healing spell heals the internal abbrasions. "He will need some rest and nourishment."
"Sir Elric, are we to impose on Garren's hospitality again or do we bring the monk along with us?"

Sir Elric replies, "We have imposed on Master Garren too much already. Thufir, Zubin secure him atop the mule and we will be on our way." I give the mule a root and scratch its head while they get the monk situated.
With Carloseus indisposed, Garren has graciously given us a pack animal with which to convey Venex. While, Thufir and Zubin secured the monk I made sure Venex was situated and we set out for our next destination.
As I solemnly make my way down the road, thoughts on our fallen comrad and the still healing Venex I remember a past conversation with Thufir.
"Thufir, I would like to start sparring again, with our strength and numbers diminished I believe it would benefit us greatly if Zubin and myself received further training. How about you as well Sir Elric, could we spar with you as well?"

"Prehaps another time mi'lady." said Sir Elric. "We have a goal we should strive to achieve."
After several days of much walking, they came upon a familiar sight to Sir Elric Sigmundson, the city of Athkatla.
"Behold!" exclaimed Sir Elric. "Athkatla, the captiol city of Amn, and home to the most noble Order of the Radiant Heart. How I have missed thee."
"Well then, where shall we head first?" asked Balgarath. "The journey was long and tiring."
"Indeed, fortunately, we are able to kill two birds with one stone." said Sir Elric. "There is a tavern a short ways into the city, not a particularly pleasant place, but it will do, and one of its patron's, may turn out to be just the man, err.. dwarf we are looking for. You want to know about stones, rocks or mining, talk to a dwarf."

Hmm, Cinara wondered how long they would be here in Athkatla, she would like to go check out the druid grove near Trademeet. She decided to inquire about it at the tavern they will be staying at.
Cinara tried contacting her brothers through our telepathic link and they are also on their way to the druid grove. Seems the trail they had been following of the foul folk that killed our parents and turned them into beasts is leading them this way. They will be going up against more foul folk soon it seems. She made a mental note to speak with Sir Elric about this. She wished her bothers well and will see them soon.
Carloseus' dragon scales will definitely come in handy now. The bits leftover from his armor will make for some good potions. She decided she will also have to talk with Venex and Balgarath about this further, they will probably have some uses for it as well.

''No seriously. I just accidentally ripped my bag.''
Cinara smiled and then gave a little laugh.
