Warick began collecting the clothes off of the slain soldiers. They certainly got what was coming to themhe said with a slight grin on his face.
"Head to the river"
"You heard the man, lets move." He said as he made his way towards the river with the bloodied and battered clothes of the Riddian soldiers in each arm.
They made their way along the dusty road to the river. It's cobbled stones chipped and broken and covered in moss. As Buliwyf walked along it his eye wandered from side to side, scanning the woods for any signs of any Riddians or anyone who might give them away.
Buliwyf's ears pricked up.
"Steel yourselves!" yelled Buliwyf. "We are not alone!"

After hearing Buliwyf's shout, Ignis immediately drew his swords and ducked behind a tree, just as an arrow embedded itself in the thick bark. Still got those instincts Ignis thought to himself, grinning as he looked around for his attackers.
A Riddian patrol was emerging out of the woods, several swordsmen and a mounted officer backed up by archer support. Just as Ignis noted their numbers, Ignis heard a swoosh, and felt a stabbing pain in his right arm. He immediately dropped his wakizashi, and howled in pain. He jumped backwards, jerking his left arm at his attacker as he did to loose the dagger contained in his sleeve. His injury affected his aim, and the dagger swayed off target and glanced off a rock.
Shit... first time that's happened. Ignis thought with a sudden feeling of dread, knowing he may not be able to survive this fight with only one of his arms capable of swinging a sword.
His attacker was unphased by the suprise throwing knife, and quickly closed the gap between them. He swung an overhead chop at Ignis, who raised his katana to defend. The Riddian blade bounced off, and Ignis quickly reversed his grip and drove his katana into the stomach of the soldier while he was preparing another attack.
Out of danger for the moment, Ignis quickly picked up and sheathed his dagger and wakizashi before glancing around the area for any signs of his comrades.

"We are not alone!" Warick heard Buliwyf yell from the east of him.
Warick suddenly heard one of his comrades scream in pain and looked over to find Ingis about to be slain by a Riddian attacker, quickly though Ingis countered. I better take out those swordsmen before any more of them try to kill him Warick thought to himself.
"These guys don't know when to stop do they? Very well then, If they wish to die here, I believe I can oblige them." Warick said as he unsheathed his sword and charged toward the swordsman of the Riddian militia.
He met the 1st warrior head on with brutal force, swiftly Warick buried his blade deep into the attackers skull. The attacker hit his knees and Warick kicked him to the ground. Warick quickly charged at the next two attackers. He could quickly tell that these men were more skilled than their unfortunate comrade. The warriors blades clashed and swung wildly towards Warick, he swiftly ducked beneath the would be attacker and skewered him with his blade. He finally stood face to face with one attacker left. The Riddian swung for Waricks leg, but Warick took a step back and beheaded the Riddian soldier. Covered in his enemies blood He quickly made his way toward his fallen comrade. "Brother are you okay?" Warick yelled as he made his way towards Ingis, attempting to protect him.
Ignis heard the clanking of metal plates, and readied himself to fend off yet another Riddian soldier. He drew back his katana and readied it for a vicious thrust, but stopped himself as Warrick burst from the bushes, covered in fresh blood.
"Brother are you okay?" He said, Ignis nodded in response.
"Never better, soldier caught me off guard but it's not fatal, I'll have somebody patch me up after the fight, there are Riddians to be killed." Ignis said as he gritted his teeth, the pain was minimal, but it was pain nonetheless. He ripped off a nearby vine and tied it above the wound to slow the flow of blood. He knew it was only a temporary fix, but it would allow him to continue the fight.
"There, should be fine for a while." He said to Warrick, he then pointed at the nearby mounted soldier.
"Think we can take him?"

Warick examined the mounted soldier, he appeared to be of higher rank than the rest, "Looks like some sort of officer, perhaps a commander. I bet if we took him out it would shake the morale of the Riddians a bit." Warick said with a smile.
"I can provide a distraction while you take him out stealthily from here. Once hes within about 10 meters, throw your knives" Warick said. He walked out of the bushes as he stood about 40 meters infront of the Riddian. "Not so big without your army are ya you damn coward!!!," Warick yelled at the Riddian officer on the horse. "Now, Come and meet your death!" "Foolish scum. It is you who will perish on this day." The large Riddian growled through clenched teeth as he began to unsheath his sword and charge towards Warick. The Riddian came closer and closer as Warick stood calmly and waited....
As Kira makes her way down to the water, she slips on the moss and lands on her behind, spilling the clothes she is carrying. She gets up quickly, oh gods I hope nobody saw me fall, she mutters and begins gathering the clothes up and continues.
"Steel yourselves!" yelled Buliwyf. "We are not alone!"
She drops the clothing and readies her bow. She sees the Riddians coming out of the forest, damnit why isn't my spell working.
Kira sees a soldier heading for Warrick, aims and fires hitting him in the chest, taking him down just as he was about to bring his sword down on his back. She looks for her next target and sees Ignis tying up a wound and continuing on.
"Hehe, she laughs, we have some tough ones with us."

Crouching, Ignis crept from tree to tree to get into a better position. Eventually he was behind the officer, and signaled Warrick to distract the soldier.
As Warrick and the officer exchanged threats, Ignis took both knives out of his sleeves, and gripped them in between his fingers on his still usable arm. He laid the two knives from his boots on the ground, ready for a follow up throw.
"NOW, INGIS!!!!!"
He ducked sideways from the tree, and loosed his first two knives. They punched through the plating on the soldier's back, and he howled in anger at the pain. Ignis picked up his last two knives, gripped them like before, and threw them at the soldier.
Now facing Ignis, he took both knives in the chest and fell sidways off his horse. He landed on his back and drove the knives even deeper, still screaming in pain, he rose to his feet, brandished his sword, and ran towards Ignis.
Absolutely stunned that the man was still able to move, Ignis barely drew his blade in time to deflect the first swing. He was knocked backwards, and instinctively jerked his arm towards the soldier.
"Shit, knives are already in him." Ignis thought, cursing himself for not remembering this key fact. He lost precious moments with his failed attack, and had to jump sideways to avoid another swipe. The soldier pressed his advantage, and shouldered Ignis into a tree, slumping to the ground, Ignis raised his katana to deflect what could be the final attack Ignis would ever see.

Warick watched as the knives pierced the Riddians flesh, suddenly, though, the Riddian rose as if nothing had happened. And, with demon-like quickness rushed towards Ingis and swiftly knocked him into a tree leaving him helpless at the mercy of the brute and his blade.
"NOOOO!!!!" Warick yelled as he ran as fast as he has ever ran towards the commander and tackled him with enough force to knock the blade out of the Riddians hands. The Riddian threw Warick off of him as if he was nothing more than a mere child. Quickly the Riddian began to scrable for his blade as Warick lay helpless on the ground.
A flash of steel was all that Ignis could see, he looked up to see the officers blade laying at his feet, and two figures sprawled on the forest floor. Ignis grabbed the blade without thinking, and looked at the first figure.
How the hell did Warrick get here so fast? He thought, silently praising the mans quick intervention, without it, he would surely have died in these woods.
He glanced at the second figure; it was the officer. He tried to rise to his feet, but Ignis quickly drove the man's blade through the back of his neck, spraying blood on ancient roots. The officer made a horrible gurgling sound, and finally died.
"I have never seen one person fight through so many wounds.." He said, somehow in awe of this man's unnatural resilience. He helped Warrick to his feet, clapped him on the back, and thanked him or his help.
"Showed him who's king of these woods." He said, laughing as the remainder of his panic washed away.

Donsro runs into Ignis and Warrick as he is catching up to them only to see blood stains and entrails in a violent mesh around the perimeter. He notices Ignis's fleshwounds and mutters, "Damn, I should have been here!" Donsro finally catches up to them breathing heavilly and helping them up off the ground. "I'll run up and scout the area for any more of them, just hold tight here and tend to your wounds." And with that Donsro takes out his warhammer and charges uptrail.
"Halt, in the name of the King!" came a loud and stern voice from the wood as Donsro charged forward.
He was forced to a sudden stop as men with bows raised stepped out from behind the trees and surrounded the small offshoot group, pushing them back together. Behind them came a row of men with spears, not poised to strike but clearly at the ready. Down the middle came a man of unimpressive stature but of powerful character, the men parting like a sea around him.
"Identify yourselves and name the group you travel with. Who is your leader and what is your business. If it be against the King, Mentaeus, admit your guilt now and your lives will be spared, though I cannot say the same for your freedoms."
There was a brief pause.
"Speak now or I will have my men execute the others even now as they leave the village of Riddia burning behind them. I have half a mind to as it is."
Buliwyf made his way to the front of the group and stared down the large stranger.
"We are humble knights." called out Buliwyf. "Our business is our own. We bear no ill towards you or your king, but we will not hesitate if our hand is forced."

"That is yet to be determined, stranger. And as for your business, it became ours the minute you stepped foot within these woods. This is the land of Bramwell. These villages - Tappas and Riddia - are within our borders and, as such, are under our supervision. Now you have destroyed them both, seemingly without reason."
Another soldier stepped quickly forth, whispered something in the stranger's ear. There was a pause as whatever news had been spoken sunk in, then a curt nod.
"Enough talking. Identify yourselves at once and explain your actions here or you will suffer the consequences."
"This is not going to end well." Buliwyf thought to himself.
"If you must know, we were hired by Tappas to defend them against Riddia." Buliwyf said. "Riddia razed Tappas while we and the best warriors from Tappas were fighting on the plains. We march to Riddia to to right a wrong. We burned the Riddian out post, and are on our way to do the same to Riddia, if the city of Riddia lies in ruin it was not our doing."

The stranger's eyes widened for a moment, then he turned back to the soldier who had spoken to him, conversing quietly. After a minute he turned back.
"If you what you say is true than we have more to worry about than your rogue meanderings. These woods are not safe. You will come with us, back to Bramwell. There we will discuss these matters further. For now we must move. Ready yourselves for the journey ahead. Take no more time than you need. We leave in three minutes."
"I lead these men yes." Buliwyf said "We will follow."
"If only to avoid pointless deaths" he said to himself. "Lead on." Buliwyf watched the large stranger closely, but not so as to look out of place as he did it.

"A wise choice. Tell them to leave behind whatever they do not need. We must travel quickly. My second in command will inform you when it is time to depart."
With that, he turned and headed back through the line of men. The soldier that had conversed with him stepped forward and took his place, eyeing the Knights closely.
AHH! What?! I made all of these banners and we're not even going to use them now?! Kifu complained. I was even going raise some zombies to carry them kifu cried. oh well, off to Bramwell, hahaha..
