People are still going to buy items in hardcore regardless if there's a rmah or not. The question is DO YOU WANT TO PROFIT FROM THIS SYSTEM OR DO YOU WANT TO LET GREEDY BLACK MARKET PRICKS TAKE ALL THE PROFITS? I think we all know the answer. Implement the damn system.

To Jay Wilson and everyone else: Diablo 3 can be competitive without being an E-Sport.
Your whole response is bullshit. You inject a reason that blizzard is implementing the RMAH, and you may well be right, but you have no idea, and neither do i. It's very likely it was created for a constant monetary return for the company considering there is no monthly subscription. Who gives a damn. It's in. Accept it.
The thing that IS bullshit here is that your egocentric view that somehow just because you don't give a damn about the implications of something, that no one else should either, or is allowed to.
Blizzard DID give their reasons for implementing the RMAH very early through various sources when it was announced, it's not hard to find. It is also a fact that in the past their previous policy (along with many other games) was to try and stamp out RMTs altogether.
I can just as easily say that the RMAH is not in hardcore, why don't you accept that, but just like your respective statement, it's not particularly useful is it?
Your whole response revolves around your opinion that people who pay REAL MONEY don't DESERVE a FICTIONAL FUCKING ITEM? Your logic is ass-backwards. Paying real money for a fictional item is fairly silly to me, but so is paying someone to change my oil. THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU'RE SAYING. IT'S A GAME AND YOU'RE TAKING AN IDEALISTIC APPROACH THAT SOMEHOW IT'S "BAD" AND SOMEONE DOESN'T "DESERVE" AN ITEM IF PAYED FOR WITH MONEY THEY'VE EARNED. YOU HAVE NO MOTHERFUCKING RIGHT TO FORCE THAT LIMITATION ON PEOPLE.
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. The funny thing is, people who buy items ARE gaming for fun, they're just enjoying it in another wy. You play the game how you want, shut your mouth, and let others play how they want. I don't usually attack people personally, but when your views cross the line into dictating how other people spend their money/time that warrants some ass chapping.
Wow, are you like 10 or something?
And your previous response doesn't somehow revolve around your opinion that apparently it should be a divine right to be able to buy said fictional items in games with real money? Notice how I said that without using fuck or caps at all?
I was simply responding to your ludicrous previous example that just because "some people don't have the time to farm for great items endlessly and would rather work" that somehow they must then logically be entitled to spend money in all their games as a substitute for not playing them as much. Your new oil example isn't much better either...I'm not even going to go there.
Do you always go on a rant and abuse your capslock whever presented with a dissenting opinion? If that's your idea of a discussion or debating, then I'm done with you.
stop crying. its not like someone can spend 50 dollars and faceroll inferno with no concern with death. its very likely someone could spend thousands of dollars on their char walk into inferno and die within a few minutes even with high end gear. you still need to know what in the hell you are going and you can still die even if you are almost perfect.
and rofl at guy comparing this to professional competitive sports. its a non competitive game there is no ladder there is non rated pvp arena. you kill swarms of mobs and get items and have fun. the only cheating im concerned with are bots who get gear for free that do not have to spend time or money to win.
people who spend money on games are people who dont have alot of time but alot of money.
people who do not spend money tend to be people who have alot of time but not alot of money.
you can call it unfair and cheating for people who can afford to play 10+ hours a day vs someone who can only aford to play 8 or less hours a week.
not to mention its not like its one sided the good hardcore players are the ones benefiting the most from such transactions instead of sweatshop kids in china.
Wasn't the reasoning behind not having a HC RMAH because they didn't want people going after them after spending $100 on there characters only to die to server lag?
That's what I thought all along. I highly doubt Blizzard wants the hassle of listening to whiners complaining that they spent hundreds of dollars on gear and died due to an unexpected server crash. Then there's the (futile) threats of law suits, etc. Much simpler to deny RMAH access to HC characters.
