I don't care that you can't be compensated for all the gold/money you spent on your MF set, to see that the devs put in the work to try and find even ground makes me more than content. I honestly appreciate the effort.
But I do have one question that isn't clear to me, they said MF/GF caps at 300% before NV stacks right, so does that mean the total cap is 375%?
Sounds like common sense but just for clarification
We know that a lot of you out there are level 60 -- maybe on multiple characters -- and this system provides a way to make progress every time you log in to the game.
Elaboration needed, every time you log on, so these Paragon levels are per toon after 60, or per account?

I set up my account for diablofans just to comment on the utter ignorance regarding the "idea" that Kripparrian "gave" Blizzard. Leveling past max level is NOTHING NEW. It's only ONE of his ideas, and it's not original and nowhere new. Fucking EverQuest had it. Give it up, Kripparrian is not as amazing as you people believe. He's a good player, yes, arguably the best at Diablo III. He's not a genius that does anything for the progress of Diablo III, though.
Paragon levels = awesome, I'm glad we get more powerful as we play more.
Cap on MF though? WTF!!!!!!!!!!!! That was the ONE thing that that majority of people agreed upon..... we DO NOT WANT A CAP TO MF. I'm extremely sad about this....
I think what people were upset about was that they suggested a cap of about 150% on MF, which is ridiculously low. However this new MF cap is only slightly below the max MF so doesn't make too much of a difference imo. MF was already capped by the max amount you could have of it on your gear, now the cap is just a bit lower, and means that at paragon level 100 you don't need any mf on your gear
Which is a horrible horrible thing. If you have been working the past 2-3 months to get gear with good stats and MF you just got shat on by Blizzard. MF will be WORTHLESS once you've played the game enough. It's even worse than thorns or pickup range.
Also, they did NOTHING to fix gear swapping if it was something we hated. I hate to gear swap but I do it because I want the best swaps. It's really lame to gear swap before an elite dies and now we're still encouraged to do it until we've played the game enough to just remove MF entirely. What a cop-out solution.
First everyone complains that D3 doesn't have the longevity to be played 10+ years like its predecessor, and then you complain that the gear you found in 2-3 months on VANILLA D3 may not be viable within the next hundreds of hours of gameplay?! Go ahead, keep your lame weapon for nostalgia's sake. But once you find an awesome legendary that summons fire chains on you and a minion, or summons an angel from the sky to fight for you, I think you will change your mind.
And besides, the whole point of gaining 3% MF per level is so that your gear is very much still viable up until you level and naturally find better gear. By the time MF becomes less of a viable stat to have, better gear is bound to drop naturally due to the game time you put in. And if gear swapping bothers you so much, you now don't have to really do it. You can just concentrate on Paragon levels, and the items and MF will come by themselves with time.
For a while I thought that any "game saving changes" for D3 wouldn't be out until the PvP patch. If anything, Blizzard didn't "cop out"; they went above and beyond to put all this out much before we thought they would. And good for them, because a lot of people were ready to move on to other games if they haven't already.
Aren't you glad this patch didn't turn out to be aimed just at minor balance tweaks and small bug fixes? I know I sure am.

Bringing torment and pain to others.
Your damned soul wallowing in your sin.
Perhaps...
it is time to die.
... too damn long. Looking at how much I play, vs. how steep that damn curve is, I'll be wearing at least +200 MF gear for as long as I play the game.
Logitech mouse macro for me
