hey Guys it's been a while since i posted anything. I decided to work on a fan art piece that went into my latest wallpaper. Here I'll show you the steps I took and the final pieces.
Let me know what you guys think. I'm so glad those pain in the ass wings were finally done i tried so many ways to make them work but nothing worked until now.
damn!! that's awesome.... why you guys make this look so simple?? I've been trying to do some art for the last year and I can't make things loos proportionate
Good effort, i like the end product, however I have a question for you, how are you making the thick black outline on the finished drawing? Is that just liner pen or something around it or have you used photoshop for that?
Like in my sketchbook wallpaper series I would put a nice simple thick line all the way around the edge of the image to make it look nice and clean and evened out. I manually paint that on unlike some graphics programs where you can just do some tweaks to make it work. Seeing as i don't know how to do it that is why i just paint it.
youve always made some really good wall papers. i like the plain white tyrael, is there a specific name to that style of drawing?
Never really did have a style. I just like to draw as detailed art as i can. I used my graphics program to imrpove the detail. If you saw how much detail i went to re-paint and redo stuff behind some of the things you cant see, just to make it look right over all. You'd be amazed.
The effect you went for to make his wings are super cool.
Thanks, his wings gave me a problem for a while. I tried to freehand them, i tried to paint them in certain ways. It just came down to a simple spray a line this way, blurr tool and then clean it up, and BAM what you see now.
Beautiful work! How long have you been into drawing and sketching? Might be a project (should you choose to accept it!) for yourself to do some fanart work for the key characters in the Diablo books?
Thanks, we'll see how it goes. I've been busy lately due to the influx of d3 news, artwork and ive been trying to build my fan fiction as well.
Very nice, amazing detail and such. I thought that Tyrael would have slightly more broader shoulders though, or more bigger body girth. Anywho, it's really good
