True, but the people at download.com are idiots! They either tried to use it with another program that conflicts with it (like tuneup or another bootskin, visual style modifier) or used a corrupted bootksin (like one they tried to make themselves or meant for another bootskin program) the "bootskin" program is the mos tused and safest program for changing bootskins and I've been using it since 2005 with no problems at all with windows xp
I feel kind of silly for having thought when I first went to view this thread that you were talking about a new material that boots in Diablo could be made of.
That's almost exactly why I didn't click on the other bootskin thread sooner.
My thought was someone had designed a Diablo-related real-world cowboy boot (like snakeskin boots), and I don't wear cowboy boots.
Felt kinda foolish once my curiosity got the best of me.
100% NOT compatible with vista, since this is a windows xp bootskin, I'd have to make a version of this for vista, but sadly I can't since none of my computers have vista :/

well, there was a way to do it (hard way) in vista, but that's no longer possible since SP1 version of vista is out, so if you don't have vista SP1, then you can still do it, but it'll be very hard and involves replacing system files and it could potentially harm your computer :/...so yeah...you'r stuck with that ugly vista bootskin since there are no programs that change it and you can't hack it anymore

cool stuff, is there a guide as to how to get it to work>?
im running xp 32
just install the program (bootskin) and then download the diablo 3 bootskin, that's it, if you have the program installed it should recognize the diablo 3 bootskin right away when you double click it
if not, then just open up the bootskin program and choose file>import from file and choose the diablo 3 bootskin and it'll change your bootskin

(only works with windows xp, so don't use it if you have vista, and if you do have vista....then shame on you :/..)
*you need this program to use bootskins: http://www.stardock.com/products/bootskin/

I have no problem believing that.
Any idea how well it gets along with Vista?

Shucks. I updated to SP1 when it was released.
Thanks, anyway (cool bootskin, regardless).
