The first new FRS wallpaper since the anniversary; Locations X ? Tristram Cathedral is a cool tweak of the Xiansai wallpaper. I thought making it have the blue theme would be a nice change from all the red again. The blue runes really glow, and I was worried they would draw attention more than the picture of the Tristram Cathedral in the circle.
I originally had this finished up before the anniversaries, but wanted to hold off until the anniversaries were done. I was also working on the news piece - Diablo III: A Year in Wallpapers, for at least two weeks. I hope you guys like the blue change this week, I?ll see you all next week for another installment.
Icy runes series anyone ?
Looks pretty good man, you ever gonna do anything other than these "runes" series though ?
I mean at first, your wallpapers blew me away, now it's got that "seen it before" feeling to it, ya know ?
Not to say that they aren't good (they're pretty kickass), but all of your stuff thus far has been quite similar, I'd really like to see what else you can do, because obviously you're pretty fucking skilled.
I really like the blue change, as Thas said, it doesn't have that same gothic feeling to it, but I still think it looks pretty incredible.
Anywho, nice work :D.

every once in a while i change the rune colors to mix it up some. seeing as most of the time they are red. Thanks for the comments guys, its been a rough day for me today though, seems my net might be down soon for a while and i dont know how long its going to be out.
I'll keep you all posted when i find out more. But I'm kinda hoping someone will step up while im out and make some wallpapers. Gotta keep the flow going if ya know what i mean!
looks like my nets safe, and the next time i plan a locations wall it'll have something else added to it to give it some variety. Guys also have to forgive me on how similar they looked it was a busy month and it took me a bit to write the diii.net article on a year in wallpapers too. I barely worked on anything while i was writing that.
one of the true reasons for the blue runes is the overarm blueish feel of the image itself to be honest, i was originally going to do it red but didn't feel like it matched per-say. And green colored runes would only look good in a forest/jungle setting.
