So I'm currently running on T13 and running GR150 with random s and I've been doing this all day and went from paragon 30 to paragon 900!!! Yet, before I was running through T3-4 just fine with the gear I had and it was a slight challenge but not too difficult yet now I'm running these rifts with the people the fear that's dropping for me is the same as when I was in a way lower difficulty. My weapons base damage is in the 2/3000s so I'm dealing around 1-3Mil and I think around 30mil when I get crt dmg yet the people I'm running with have base weapons dmg in the 20,000s and they're doing BILLIONS of damage. I don't expect to just get gnarly gear right away but I don't get what else I'm supposed to to to get better gear? Nothing I do is getting me better gear, it takes like 5 runs of GR150 just to BARLY up my stats? I'm sorta nooby at the game and prior to RotN, the last time I played was before RoS. Can someone help detail how I'm supposed to actually go about getting better gear? I've tried kadala but she's no help and I don't know where to farm nightshade and war tapestry to use kanais cube?

The materials for Kanai's cube you mention you'll get from doing bounties (complete all 5 bounties in an act to get a cache; you'll need a full run with caches from every act for the important recipes). Gear is usually acquired from drops, Kadala, and upgrading stuff in the cube, but it's all completely random.
That being said, the people in your group who have 20k weapons use cheated gear. GR150 is impossible to play "legit"; those guys hacked the game to have super overpowered gear. They will never find an upgrade ever (as their gear is 10 times better than the best non-cheated gear) and if you have received gear from them it's most likely cheated as well.
It sucks, but that's what console looks like - full of cheaters. Sorry for that. Before you ask: you can not lose your paragon anymore, it will stay with you forever. Those guys robbed you of the "gearing up experience".
Yeah I don't get why Modders play on anything less than T13. What's the point? Get OP'd gear to run low rifts?
If you wanna run low rifts for whatever reason, make your own game. Don't join other people's games - especially if the rest of the lobby is running legit gear. JUST LEAVE!! NO ONE WANTS YOU THERE. Go to the T13 with everyone else. If legit players really want to run GR150 they'll join T13 or look for modders.
Seriously, I don't care about modding in of itself, but when they do this stupid shit, it just irks everyone. Main reason why everyone is so annoyed. You just set yourselves up to look like trolls.
I've known plenty of cool modders and willing to help, but there's a ton of horrible modders who just don't get 'it'.

And what when I get there, what sort of GR.lvl do most legit players run. I know part of it already has but I want the rest of my game experience to be legit because me and my girlfriend play together and she doesn't like that sort of thing because it obviously ruins the experience.

HHmm well i don't know much about console....on PC medium skilled/gear guys run GR80ish i suppose- once they get geared up- so many variable to your questions its hard to answer- geared/skilled 4 mans run 95-115 I'd say.
Suggest buy PC version and join a good clan

Depending on the group. It's very hard to push Solo and compare it to PC. You just can't compare them equally. Consoles MUST use the Nephalam Globes just to be near on par with the damage output.
But on that note - I usually see GR75 as a sweet spot for high end players to speed rift with no probs. A big jump happens at GR80 and then again at GR90 (but usually they've got all ancients if not Primal with augmented gear). With perfect rolls and high augmented gear you can push GR100+. But it's really hard solo. If you get a proper group it'll be much easier as you'll have support and such.
However, if you're playing in a random lobby, I'd say stay away from T13 (nothing but modders there, you'll be extremely lucky to find legit) and usually TX will have more legit players. However, that's usually around GR45-50 range.

I´m not sure how/if it works for consoles. But you should see on the Items how high the stats can be. They are usually the same for all items per slot.

nightshade comes from zone II bounties (the butterfly is magda's icon)
or complete challenge rifts then you get a bit of supply of engredients
