Well, anything math related exercises thinking and improves intelligence... Science areas can give some basic information on science carreers. Then we have all these electives like art, computer science, business, etc. History is the most annoying subject for me because I believe they teach it the wrong way. Same goes for English. PE is the worst subject ever because of the way they teach it.
History and English are my bane. English you rely whether the teacher likes your topic or not and how much you've sucked up lately. History is just stupid.
English is pointless, I don't need to know all that stuff, I know how to write and how to speak, that's all I need. History is basically a free credit for me, it's just a filler.
Im a comp sci major yet i need english?? WTF.
History has always been one of my better subjects, well ancient history keeps me a bit more interested in it.
Wow, this is quite an old thread, I forgot what I posted back then lol.
EDIT* Oh yeah, now I remember, it turned into a nice little thread

If you ever meet a hafling and a hungry dragon you dont have to outrun the dragon, you only have to outrun the hafling.
Alot of people here seem to be extremely paranoid about education... i dont live in the US so i dont know how your schooling is different and if there is extreme dumbing down or not... we dont really have as much of this 'highschool class system' in New-Zealand
ps- english class=useless, all the teachers at my school assume that if you dont get excellent english marks that you fail at life and at everything...

Eventually, we're all worm food. Even the worms.
