When Diablo 3 comes out would you play it in a league?

I would enjoy it. I think it would be fun - especially in a Diablo world. You also have to remember that the max amount of players in Diablo III may very well increase from Diablo II, perhaps going to 10-12 or even double to 16 per game.

arena? wouldnt suit the Diablo universe... fight as what? gladiator? for what? and get ranks for it? U hate MMOGs so much and u ask for features only useable in MMOGs. lawl

They could implement a gladitorial arena in each major town. It would be the same as going outside of town to duel, only you'd be in an arena and they would have things like a score keeper and perhaps some obstacles or even objectives for the other person/team to use. Instead of sitting in a chat room back on B.net, you could join the crowd in the arena and perhaps place bets on the players, or just sit afk and watch the duel.

yes they could too have an arena.... and i mentioned this about 4 months back and through in the idea that u could bet item for item winner take all type of stuff

They could even hold gladiator type arena championships. Leaving a champion who would have to withhold his title. Kind of like the colosseum

Perhaps they could invent a new game type, where you check a box that says "Competitive Play". After you check the box, you can choose game options, such as the number of players, type of gameplay, arena type, team sizes, and round lengths. And since Competive Play would be set in a set amount of area, it would allow more players to join the game, meaning MORE carnage.

That would be alright. You could have an Extreme option which is hardcore only and when you kill someone you get all of their experience and items.

Maybe they could make a game type that would allow Hardcore characters to duel without dying forever. I know that would be interesting to a lot of players.

Nah, the best thing would be to have a bunch of normal characters that don't permanently die but are eliminated from the arena and lose all there items or something

The question is would you join a League for D3 dueling, besides something that blizzard has to offer? Like not making special things for D3, just taking what it has to offer and making a private league out of it, I was thinking such as CAL or CPL?

Well i have been online and although i am sure that I could get a seat in the Silver Infurno Crusading Knights I doubt that the rest of the lifeless drones who do nothing but play games online would consider worthy due to my lack of playing time and the weakness of my character in comparison to theirs.
