Interesting cause I usually skip past the really really really short paragraphs. There's quite a few who usually just post one-liners; either to work on their post counts or just cause they really like to concur or disagree with a few words. And after I get accustomed to who does that a lot, I find myself skipping their pointless one-liners and go for the bulkier posts that actually generate more conversation. That's just me though, I guess.
Yes, very few people read long posts, an it holds true everywhere. Even on the WoW forums, where there is no post-count and so many posters that it's hard to separate on poster from another this happens. I guess its part of our desires for everything to go fast these days.

You have my vote! We should coin a new term here right now
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

Wasn't the term Metrosexual though? I'm sure a lot of those dudes are actually homosexuals that are still in the closet.
As for post length, I like to keep mine short and to the point. If it's something I'm interested in I'll read everything, but if not I'll usually just skip it and not even reply to the thread at all.
Yeah, metrosexual is thought to be "a straight man with style". So if men don't talk in abnormally high voices, wear tight pants, only have friends that are girls, and make funny facial expressions, straight men don't have style? A metrosexual is a gay guy in a closet.

It's strange though. Cause I can be writing a really long post, but once I read over it, it never seems as long as it took to write. So when I'm reading a long post, it's never felt like something onerous to read. I even have less an attention span for the smaller posts and usually skip past them anyway. Unless it's someone with a reputation of being very shrift and to the point. Lord Mantis prods things with a stick rather well.
(i'm assuming the term "we should coin" comes from flipping a coin or does it mean something entirely different?)
I'm pretty sure it comes from the word coining, or making coins. So when you coin a new term, like coining coins, I guess it means that we create a new meaning that can be "legally used"

Writing a constructive post always takes longer to write than read, if not then you probably didn't think it through, since only if ideas shot out of your head equal to the speed at which you read something already put into words would it take an equal amount of time.

But have you ever though of how stupid the word "coin" sounds? And "coining". I can't stop thinking about it after reading this thread
Eh, sounds maybe even a little pretentious.
