lol agreed, he is very selfish and as of late has had some remarkable catches for some nice gains, and he cant talk about having a better quarterback because i saw him drop some passes right to him for the raiders
Well, the raiders look like their going back to their normal position. that's wat all the biast announcers r sayin. they r also saying that johnson and gonzalez r gonna run laps round us in the blackhole.
This is not true. i believe that now we will use rhodes more than just 1 play like in san diego. lamont jordan will have a much better game because the o line has been fixing much of the minor problems from becoming serious ones. look for curry to have a huge game on KC's slow secondary.
this is wat being a raider fan is all about. showing ur voice to mess up those chiefs. when we win this game, it will put us above everyone, and i dont think denver will b able to beat the steelers who have been terrific thus, far.

ya, but everyone loves favre. he's just really fun to watch. but i h8 that the raiders r always under the media's scope. we are definetly on the rite track to becoming a dominant force in the afc west. we may even win a division game as out of the last 3 we have; 2 r in oaktown.
but if ur just gonna go off and vent on the raiders organization, get in line; cuz we aint goin no where. lol
i kno. seriously. they did all most everything right in that game on defense. But Culpepper needs to show leadership and experience when taking our team on a last drive to a win. Congrats to Griese who led the bears on a 97 yard TD drive to win the game. We need a good rally like that.
Here are my five postgame takes, totaling less than 200 words, meaning that my effort here is commensurate with the energy displayed by the Raiders offense…
1. Can y’all hear me now (regarding what I was saying last week)?
2. I look around and see relatively capable names like Culpepper, Jordan, Griffith, Rhodes, Porter, Curry, Miller and an offensive line that’s at least improving, and I think: how can this group lay such a boring, plodding 60-minute turn against a divisional rival at home? Honestly, televised chess has more fireworks.
3. Why are we so afraid to throw downfield, especially when it works the very few times we try it? Are we afraid of missing yet another opportunity to rush the ball for no gain?
4. On that final drive, on the final play, there was utter confusion, resulting in an interception. Some will blame Williams for the confusion, most will blame Culpepper for the interception, but the entire team looked unprepared for the exercise of a two-minute offense. Confusion equals turnovers.
5. The Raider Nation is perilously close to the third step of the three-step program: denial, anger, apathy. The fans seemed to file out of the stadium not outraged, and not shell-shocked, just resigned, collective shoulders slumped. Stay angry, Raider Nation. Apathy doesn't become us.
P.S. Remember, as George “Aristotle” Atkinson said on the KSFO postgame show: “This is a game about points.”

Chiefs rule all and they beat the raiders 12-10 last week, so stop talkin about the raiders. Somebody needs to close this thread because it is weak. Raiders suck.

dont be talking trash. this thread is gonna stay open so make a chiefs thread and see how many ppl comment on it. I've been a raider fan since i was 9 and i aint gonna stop. Neither will I b a quiet raider fan. I bet you dont even follow ur chiefs.
haha u r stupid i was born in Kansas City, Kansas and have been a loyal fan of the chiefs since then, so dont say stuff unless u know the facts. Like me for instance, chiefs r better than the raiders, have been for years, and it will always be that way. Althought, i have to say, i do like the raiders 10 times more than i like the god damn chargers. I hate them so much, mostly their fans. Charger fans are not loyal at all. They only like them if they r doing really good. For Example, this year, when the chargers were 1-3, nobody was a charger fan ne more, but now they r winning, and now everyone is a charger fan. Their goddamn communists if u ask me.

But dude. some long term memory. I believe the Raiders were a dominant team a while bak. We were the ones crushing teams. We had a Reign. Chiefs were. huh?
lol. i agree w/ u though bout the chargers, especialy cuz they come to fricken mcafee stadium every year for our home division games. Basards. same w/ stylish brady. can u say overrated?
Brady is a beast though, and has been for years. Especially since he has so many weapons this year. Your are right though back in the 90s Raiders were better than the chiefs on offense, but the chief's defense was ranked #1 for like 5 yrs straight. I dont really mind the raiders, i think if the raiders can get their offense straight and keep it consistent, then the AFC West will be the strongest in the NFL. Because the Broncos are always good, Chargers are dominate when they have everything straight(hate to say that), and the chiefs finally got a good defense, but now our offense has diminished. I mean the chiefs offense used to be top 3 in the NFL 3yrs. back. Anyways, if all the raiders kept a consistent offense, than they would be dominate too, because their defense is legit. Especially their LBs, they r so freakin fast.

ya. our problem is finding a good, stable QB though. We havent had one since Rich Gannon. We went to the superbowl against the bucs. But it has to be russell. if it isn't, then we better trade for some 1 good. The running game has establiched itself though. Jordan is like a leading rusher right now i think.
Larry Johnson is finding his footing again since the Jaguars game was horrible. I really hope Holmes comes bak to even half of wat he was. FEED THE PRIEST. lol
Defense showed up to play for the second week in a row... Offense & Daunte were nightmares... Even though our offensive line was pityful... Fargas ROCKED considering all of his team-mates he was on the field with... then there was Seabass!!! Outstanding!!! We Love You Brother!!!
Now for this week in the Coliseum... Offensive line needs to get it together and protect our QB... and if they can do that I would like to see Russell make his first appearance out on the field... if Duante continues to play I would like to see him take a couple more steps back out of the pocket, and get the ball off quicker... and balance out the run/pass... and as DAGO said to me after the Tennessee game last Sunday..."Go deeper into our play book... stop running the same plays over & over... they are not working"...
Maybe the firing of Williams, and signing of Tim Dwight will send a message to the rest of the team... and bring back that passion & drive in Culpepper that he played with in Miami... when he was so motivated to show Miami what he still had in him... now prove it to the Raiders... other than that game we haven't seen shit from him... and that was only miami Duante.... not a top NFL Team...
Stand Strong RAIDER NATION!!! and let's make sure we let the Texans know that they are in OUR HOUSE!!! that means everyone should have lost their voice by the end of the game...
arent you guys like 2-5 and got dominated these past 2 games?
hmmm?

OTC, they are on there way to becoming better. Mastaraider, russell didnt go to the camps, so that is why he isnt playin and daunte is. Russell probably wont do that good anyways because he will always be getting hit or flushed out of the pocket, cuz like u said, ur o-line sux.

otc, we are 2-5, but we r on our way to at least the road ot the raiders of old. I love watching film of the 70's steelers vs. raiders games. fricken funn as hell to watch.
and brain, ya. i kno russell signed REALLY late; but everyone says that this is a rebuilding year, yet we dont show it on the field. That's cuz Al is a winner and wants the raiders to give it our best every game. look at the losses though. 13-9 titans, 12-10 cheifs, 23-20 broncos. we keep it close. russell will play a few downs by the end of the season though, if not just to get a few reps in, in a reg season game.
P.S. i got T. Gonzalez in my fantasy, im not a blind raider fan. i kno talent when i see it. that bowe kid is pretty good. filled in for kennison's role.

You may find it interesting to see how many losing records each team has vs the rest of the league. Take note of teams such as the Patriots, Chargers, Colts, etc. who are doing well now. They weren't always doing so great. Raiders 03 Dolphins 04 Cowboys 04 Broncos 08 Jaguars 08 Chiefs 09 Packers 09 Ravens 09 Colts 10 49ers 10 Patriots 10 Rams 10 Bears 11 Steelers 11 Bills 13 Browns 12 Eagles 13 Redskins 13 Seahawks 13 Vikings 13 Panthers 14 Bengals 15 Chargers 15 Giants 16 Jets 17 Titans 17 Texans 18 Lions 19 Falcons 22 Saints 22 Bucs 23 Cardinals 23
Could this also be a clue to answering the question that many people ask?....."how can the Raiders still claim to be Professional Football's Winningest Team"?
The Raiders, steelers, cowboys, and 49ers have the best eras of wins. So those four teams have the right to say that they are the best ever, even if they lose every single game they play now in the present.
Mastaraider, i was thinking though about ur QB situation, and you guys could trade daunte and Russell in 2-4yrs., and still pick up a good QB. Who u might ask? Well Micheal Vick is going to be out of jail in that time, and Al Davis has a reputation of signing "bad guys" to his team, so maybe it could happen. Plus, Vick would be a perfect fit, since ur o-line sucks.
I also have a raider player on my fantasy team, Lamont Jordan. Yes, Bowe is the next TO without the controversy. haha
