Hahhahahah, we had a kid in my previous school who had HIV, and he KNEW he had HIV, and he PURPOSEFULLY had sex with anybody in sight. Fortunately, not everyone in our school was stupid enough.
It sounds really hillarious with the air that most males just want to have sex and really don't care who you are, while others actually use it as a measure of coolness (it's the opposite, actually), and then all these blokes come to the wrong girl, get HIV, and on the next test say "but I didn't have anything!"
This is a really close call.
I don't belive that we can't have sex before marriage but I don't belive that young teens should have sex neither. In my opinion, we can't set an age restriction for this kind of thing so if your mature enough and know what your getting into...do it.

I like the life I lived, because I went from negative to positive.
You know very well who you are, don't let them hold you down, reach for the stars.
Sex I think should be reserved for after marriage. No laws, no restrictions, just a thing people have. Laws and restrictions make everything worse, teens just get rebellious and do the opposite. I think it should be taught to a child that abstinence is good and the consequences that can come if sex is had too early. Not just give your kid a condom or birth control pill because they'll do it anyways. I guess the eventual goal is for lessened teen sex, which is what this thread is about.
Giving a pill or a condom is better than trying to teach a child something because you don't need to be a professor to notice that the kid's parents can't teach them a thing. I don't know why this happens but most children don't really care about what their parents have to say.
I don't see why sex should be reserved by marriage. Give me a reason. A couple don't need to be married to get checked. Moreover, marriage is nothing, just a stamp in your passport, if two people love each other, they are as good as married, a stamp just makes it official, nothing more.

The pill or condom gives an unconscious notion that sex is normal and ok. Kinda like if your told not to draw for now, but you're given a marker. And as for reasons, its proven that people who wait value sex more, and are less likely to cheat on a spouse. and I know about marriage being just an official title, but thats the thing. It makes things official. It makes it official to everyone that you won't love another while you are bound to this person.
I understand that marriage has become something far from what it once was. People don't value marriage as much, divorces and adultery (which leads to divorce) are growing in style now, but abstinence I think will give back some value to marriage. No, you don't have to be religious, I'm not. But there should be a ceremony of two people swearing their llove to each other, and that comes with maturity. It's easy to make that decision when you're young, but as you become older you value that vow and the commitment that is marriage. Maybe a different term for it? Tying the knot, how about that?
People don't need a reminder. They naturally want to have sex, especially males, they have the marker already. It's pointless to prevent a person from doing it. It's a question of will. It's like asking a lot of people to stop eating normal food and eating only healthy food. They do not possess the willpower and they do not have any form of motivation besides redundant warnings which are weaker than instinct.
Marriage doesn't mean nothing. Marriage does not mean that the two people love each other, that is the problem. The most it does is protect kids, that's it. Apart from that, marriage is a stamp and it does NOT prevent cheating in any way. If someone went somewhere and humped somebody - try to find out, try to prove it. People don't consider marriage anything sacred. If people love each other, they love each other, and if they don't, a stamp won't make them love each other more or anything. The marriage concept just creates an illusion of binding, but the amount of divorces we have now proves that marriage is just a word and no point to try to make it something more than that.
Marriage before now was even crappier. Don't go into the "grass was greener" direction. The past has always been worse, and at most, it has been romanticised. Do not be fooled about books about chivalry knights, they are just dreams. And I'm pretty sure abstinent males don't exist.
Abstinence is not something anyone can take up without being a religious fanatic because being abstinent is just dumb, it's like stopping eating for no reason or preventing yourself from having fun. However dangerous sex is, it should not be prohibited in any form simply because it's a natural need and you can't prohibit that. It is dumb to prohibit drugs, smoking, drinking, and sex goes here, too. You cannot prevent idiots from doing it unsafely, either, and if you try, you will only make it worse, we prohibited drugs some time ago and now we have mafias all over and unclean drugs.
Mental prohibition is impossible without the compliance of the media. Compliance of the media is not easy to get, and the appropriate ads are not easy to make because there is the upside down behavior of teens and the redundance effect. If they could, they would make those ads already. But so far they only have the weak ones. The strong ones are centered at all the blokes who support war in Iraq, the gov't thinks that our drug and sex problems are not as important as getting more oil...

Your views on marriage are unappetizing. It's a bond that is supposed to tie you together forever, in life or death. It used to be a sacred vow. Now it doesn't mean shit. I think the best times for marriage were about 50-100 years ago. You could marry whoever you wanted and it was looked down upon to divorce. That way you actually loved the person and it was in your interest to stay together. Now divorce is not looked down upon, but it should be because it's breaking the biggest promise you took in your life...

Abstinent males do exist, I'm one of them. And yes the past has had its bad times, but in terms of morality and widespread conscious, it was better. Before everyone were actual followers of the religion they claimed, and if they stepped out of line they would be pelted by their own friends or family. Sure it was still bad in other aspects, but try to tell me adultery wasn't a big crime back in the times of the pilgrims.

Marriage was never sacred in common sense, only in religion. Divorce was looked down due to religion.
I dislike fanatical religion and I dislike their influence in the world.
Promises actually break a lot. And there is NOTHING you can promise. You cannot guarantee anything. You can pretend to guarantee, you can hope to guarrantee, but whether you can or can't uphold a promise often doesn't depend on you. So much can happen that will change your mind about this promise that breaking it would look as the only sensible possibility. Which is why divorce was allowed, because it is needed, because times come when two people stop to feel much for each other.

Pilgrims are religious fanatics so we can count that out. And most of people's opinions were based on religion. Including burning innocent people who they didn't like.
Are you a virgin? And exceptions only prove the rule. If you are one in 6 billion you don't really count. Religious fanatics don't count, either.
In terms of morality the past was better? OK, let's see:
females were forced to sit at home to do home work;
females were not allowed to work
females were not allowed to vote
they were used as items to have sex with and to get children
their opinion didn't matter
raping females was NORMAL
Maybe it was more moral for men, i dunno. Maybe you men thought that that is how it was supposed to be?
Some of that is still with us but it is getting considerably better for us females and we can finally get away from all the cabels out there.
Your views on marriage are of a Christian. My views on marriage are of a Deist.

The reason I brought up that I'm abstinent is that there are more like me.
Women have only acquired political power because of all the anti-male women. Before that women didn't really have interests in politics, or didn't act on them. They aren't good leaders and you can attest to that, and all the power came from the relationship they have with their husbands. Think about it, who becomes the most influential figure in a man's life? His wife. Even now men think twice before doing something, wondering if the wife will approve.
Raping has never been NORMAL, it has had its spikes and times, but society has always frowned and become outraged at it.
Pilgrims I reffered to as the time period, and in those times they were superstitious, true. But you can't tell me that they were worse as a moral and values society than ours today.
Oh and btw, you pointed out the fact that women were'nt allowed to work back in those days. Now that you are, you have kids and don't work, or you have kids and complain about how your husband doesn't work as hard as you do. Whether he does or not is one thing, but maybe you should not "protest" and "march" for the rights to work if you already do enough at home.
And its not that I'm sexist, I'm a guy and your a lady. We have our views fine, but lets think a bit before letting the fireworks fly.
Your views on marriage are of a Christian. My views on marriage are of a Deist.

Marriage is sacred in common sense. What are you talking about? Are you saying loving someone is not sacred or special? Someone loving you is not sacred? You should only marry someone if you expect you can love them for your whole life and put their needs in front of yours. Marriage is supposed to be permanent, divorce therefore shouldn't exist. I don't see how marriage isn't sacred. It's probably one of the most important events in someones life. When I look at life I see 4 really special, therefore sacred events. Birth, marriage, kids, death.
Come on now, sex IS normal and ok. The urge to fornicate is as old as life itself and it's nothing that one should reject until marriage. Sex is something healthy, if it's under the right circumstances. I live in Sweden and we have a very liberal sight at sex. Studies have been shown that when you have sex there are alot of advantages, aswell there are downsides with it.
I might make a little(or huge) mistake when I write now and then, but I hope it won't bother you to much.
I'm not quite sure how I should express myself but I'll give it a shot and I wish that you might abandon all your beliefs and look at what I'm trying to say from my point of view.
Sex is something great. It makes you feel good, it's actually quite good exercise, it is healthy to do it. Now to the slut thing, is a girl a slut if she never gets married but still enjoy have sex with men(or women)? Course not! Why would you want to look down at her for performing something that makes her and her partner feel good?! For gods sake, sex is one of the best things in the world! It IS natural, it is NOT shameful in any way, and it's just wonderful. Please, reply. It's easier to answer than to just write of your head. These exact opinions might have been expressed earlier, but I hope you'll take the time anyway.
The actions two responsible adults have between each other is one thing, and I think we have confused the ages we are discussing. The topic is Teen Sex, therefore when I speak I try to refer to teens.
And besides dude, its Sweden. Most people up there are educated more than americans are, I will admit. It's a smaller country to teach, and there are way more less educated adults as well as children here. I would push it more here than there, because its not the same demographic. Just like I wouldn't talk to any country about dieting before my own country. As great as my country is, and as much as I love it, it has its major flaws. And I for one want to make a difference, no matter how small, to try and get it back in shape (literally and metaphorically).
yo carlo fuck you. i am so drink right now i hate you. fuck you man.. hasve all the sex you want u aint gunna catch shit. i haent, frigiantttttt ahastetn fuck that shit and fukck you
