WHAT?!!!? WHAT?! WHAT DID YOU SAY?!?! -GASP-
DONT EVER EVER INSULT ANIME ( to thread starter )
This is what I mean. Anime is ok, but when you get crazy and addicted to drawn people, it's weird. I don't even know how it's possible to be an anime addict.
filler means extreme side stories that has ABSOLUTELY NOYHING to do with the actual story line.
hey, even though i love and respect anime, i dont go around advertising to people about it. Well to be an anime addict, u just have to love anime in the first place, if u dont, u just can't be one. its like, saying, I love the color red, while another person might say, EW I HATE RED, blue is awesome!
get it?

So getting addicted to fictional charactes with human actors is ok tho'? Art is art, and the medium for the ideas is part of the overall effect.

Exactly. YOU don't even know how it's possible to be an anime addict. You're simply not into it. I'm not even sure you're trying to understand why people like anime.

No, but it appears that there are way more anime addicts, and I am trying to grasp how it's possible. Art is art, but any kind of obsession is bad. Obsession with games, music, driving, cigarretes, all bad.
No, but it appears that there are way more anime addicts
No, you can't say that. Because anime is a genre. So, you're either saying there are more anime addicts then say action addicts or you're making an unfair comparison.
Well, it is that certain works of art cause some kind of a fanatical feeling for people that like it, while others generate more reasonable appreciation, and others again are appreciated coldy. It has much to do with the athmosphere of the works. Some people just don't feel it. This is why there is usually a division of anime-fanatics and anime-haters, and it works that way with other things.

How can you not grasp something as a possibility? Anything is possible if you put your mind to it.(que disney music) But something as simple as not understanding why people like anime makes no sense. Not everyone thinks the same way you do. I get annoyed and don't understand why some people think some things but I understand it as a possibility because they are much different from me. Also, just because someone LIKES anime doesn't mean they are obsessed and no not all obsessions are bad. I just recieved the new Coheed and Cambria album and am now currently obsessed with the song Feathers but that isn't bad in anyway. Addiction is bad, not obsession. And having a fond liking to is not obsession. Anime does not make the show. The story does and if the story happens to be done with anime then there you go. A lot of people like anime shows because their stories tend to be full of action, challenges and plot twists.
I think obsession is wonderful and I'm sad about some people who have never been obsessed with anything...
And, yes, people liking anime has nothing to do with the style of drawing, it's the quality of the story and the characters and everything else.
Obsession is good, as long as its in some way productive. Its not good to be obsessed I think, about stuff like torture and pain.
And anime is gret for the story and characters, but I appreciate an anime that is well drawn and keeps that awesome story. Its more about the effort thats put into it, good drawing, audio, and sound synching is awesome because it lets you get into the story a whole lot more.
Yes it is. And no matter how long ago it was you'd remember his name I haven't done anything with pokemon sense about the end of third grade but I could still probably name the original 150 if I saw their pictures.

I don't mind the hair, and eyes are supposed to be under the hair bro. Thats how it is in real life, it would look awquard not being under the hair.
But of course, not everyone is bad enough to try and touch what DBZ did.
"Cards and flowers on your window, your friends all plead for you to stay,
sometimes beginnings aren't so simple, sometimes goodbye's the only way."
NO WAY!!!!! I thought that was good to be obsessed with...
And Sofa says the DBZ picture is Goku Super Saiyan.
