Sigh, look dude. If you're gonna ask a lot of people about their nationalities, you're bound to get at least one response akin to them not caring because nationality does not mean much to them. But thanks for pointing out that no one cares. I'm glad I have you around for that. Pfft.
Holy shit, offline people are talking to eachother
How long does it take for a country to consider their own people as a new race? In Newzealand they didnt have "Newzealander" on the census but i think theyve added it now (correct me if im wrong elfen)
Are Newzealanders\Austrailians actually NewZealanders and Austrailians or are they just European and indiginous still
How long did it take the US to start calling themselves Americans instead of whatever European country they came from (not up on my foundation of America history)
So yea, i can understand where Siaynoqs coming from

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
The thing about nationalities is that many different things can make up a nation. Keep in mind there is no such political thing as a nation. It is an ideal. Nationalities are groups of people who share commonalities in race, ethnicity, religion, culture, and religion. So any of those things can be what makes up a person's nationality. Which is why it's not an entirely accurate way of identifying someone. For example, some people consider part of their nationality to be either Catholic or Jewish. Or you may have the Kurdish nation which is comprised of many groups of people, yet they still refer to their nationality as Kurdish.
Also, people confuse the term nation with nation-states. A state is either Germany, France, New Zealand, United States, etc. So when they say their nationality is say half-German, that doesn't make a lot of sense to me because within Germany, there are tons of different nationalities. This is all I was really trying to point out. It's merely interesting to me is all and I was hoping to get others to think about it. But wait, I forgot that Equinox said no one cares so I'm gonna to stop right here.
Races merge and change. Sianoq is right; these days with international immigration the race lines are very blurred. A whopping 10% of the French population is African muslims now, and the some parts of the southern US has as many Hispanics as "Americans".
I dont think "Americans" should be considered a nationality. I might get flamed by carlos for saying this but...the only people that should be considered Americans are Native Americans. MO

Those before me shall quiver in my wake as I unleash the fury within!
And I disagree with that, Thas. You could argue there is a common thing such as American culture. And since culture is a part of what makes a nationality, I could claim that my nationality is American or United Statesian (as weird as that sounds).
I can even claim that I am the only one I have anything in common with. So my nationality is me.
Well I didnt mean to offend anyone. I am a US civilian. 4th generation born in the US. But for some reason...idk...maybe I am not so fully intuned with the arguements and debates of what is considered nationality.

100% American. And you are wrong. I'll be kind since your Thasador, but you won't escape a second time. Just thought you would like to know that.
I'll become an American someday and I'll be proud of it... grrr...
There was once a time where I considered myself Mexican, because thats where my entire family was from. Then I saw how bad a place Mexico is, how it is this country that gives me my bread, and that I have never lived in what I thought to be the great nation of Mexico. How did I see all this? My dad, who was born and raised in Mexico, told me so. He told me all the bads and goods of both countries, how much better this one is, and even though that is his "tierra" (land), he belongs here. Out of all the people to convince me to accept my American title, it was a Mexican who turned American all on his own. His family remains Mexican, but he is American at heart. All he needs is citizenship.
