Can someone direct me to where somebody posted where all the Blizzard North employees went?
I remember it being posted a little while ago, and I was searching with no luck.
Besides, I feel it should be given it's own thread.
Thanks
Of the 30 or so out of the 40 who left blizzard, most of them went on to form Flagship Studios. A company out of Seattle that created Hellgate: London (don't get it, it's crap) and Mythos (actually fun, in beta). Mythos is kinda like Diablo but more bright and cartoony, with pretty good gameplay and graphics.

Some went on to form Castaway Entertainment; some went on to form Flagship Studios; some went on to form Hyboreal Games; others stayed with Blizzard and moved to the Irvine offices.
Don't know where the post of which you speak is located, though. Sorry.
Yeah, yeah, I know the main companies. I'm not looking for general info, I'm looking for the specifics, which Blizzard.com doesn't give.
I remember one of the mods (possibly MD?) posted up an entire list of every single employee that was in Blizzard North, and where they went, save for about 10-15 who he assumed stayed with Blizzard and are now on Team 3.

As for the statement of 30 or so went to Flagship, that is not true. The list I saw showed only about 5-10 going to Flagship. And then 2-3 went to a bunch of other smaller companies, like Hyboreal and Castaway, totalling about 15.
On 2003 at least 8 people from Blizzard North founded Flagship Studios ... Bill Roper, and the Schaefer brothers: Max Schaefer and Erich Shaefer, and David Brevik among those eight.
A month after they resigned, 30 employees resigned. Mike Huang - who I interviewed - moved to Castaway Entertainment. Rick Seis was appointed in charge of Blizzard North. However, he also left some years ago. Rick Seis now works at Castaway Entertainment too.
Two ex-Blizzard North founded Ready At Dawn Studios along with Didier Malenfant (Naughty Dog Studios) -- Think God of War: Andrea Pessino Ru Weerasuriya
However, back when Rick Seis was appointed as Blizzard North Lead he said there were two Diablo games in development. Because those 30 employees left on August 2003, one game was canned. (My guess is that was Diablo II: Salvation expansion pack). Seis said the remaining staff of the canned game was moved to the other diablo game team.
A couple of years later, Blizzard North offices in San Francisco were shut down. All the personnel was given the opportunity to relocate to Irvine offices and the game continued to be developed.
Blizzard purchased a new studios building and moved on January 2008 ( I think). Fansites and Gaming Sites were invited two weeks ago to visit the new building which is bigger. A interview with Frank Pearce a couple of months ago revealed there are 40 employees in Team 3 which is Blizzard North Team. In short, I might not be able to name who from the original Diablo team is there but there is a lot of them still aboard.
I can't tell you who is still working for Blizzard North, but I can mention some of those 38 who did leave: (Update: I'm not 100% all of these were Blizzard North, I just have kept track of some of these for some years. Some have been involved in Diablo, but that doesn't really mean they were Blizzard North. Starcraft, Warcraft and World of Warcraft teams have at some point helped work on Diablo, or other games that are on crunch time to release. For example, Starcraft 2 team helped with World of Warcraft, and stopped working on Starcraft 2 for a period of time to help release the game.)
