Alright, now that I have your attention, I have yet another problem with my laptop. Yes, my laptop sucks monkey balls, but it's all that I have. Anyway...
I start up my laptop and it runs normally, then it comes up with the Boot Manager saying that Windows failed to start and that a recent hardware or software change might have caused it. It says the file is \Windows\System32\drivers\vidstub.sys and the status is 0xc0000221. Is there any way I can get the file on it without going into Windows?
did your comp come with vista (Assuming you have it) or did you buy it?
Because I had a problem where windows wouldnt start up and the screen would be blank after load up, so I popped in my vista cd obviously hit (f12?) went to the menu thing hit cd, then it loaded up my vista cd and there was a choice to like undo what was done on a certain date so I did the latest thing and undid whatever it was (Meaning it unistalled, undownloaded, deleted) and poof windows worked again.

I am not a fan of Jazz music.

Looking at the vidstub.sys, it looks like it's a program you downloaded to configure your boot screen?
Have you tried to boot into safe mode? Normally if you press F8 while the machine is POSTing, you'll have the option. If you can load windows in safe mode, is this a program you can uninstall. Does bootskin sound familiar?
Jazz-- I think you're referring to a System Recovery.
Safemode and all modes do not work. Apparently I need the Windows Disc but considering nobody puts the Windows discs in anymore, I have to download and burn a recovery disc.
I just hope it works...
If not, does anybody know how I can get in without actually being in Windows to delete the Vidstub.sys file?
Get another operating system that you can boot and run off a CD (I recommend BART). This will allow you to load up a different operating system (other than windows), open the internet, and then download a new version of the file or at very least offer you a chance to get the recovery software you need.

Again, as always, thankyou for all the help.

I am completely lost...
I'm a little stumped then, since I know next to nothing about Vista.
