Correct! Well you found the link. But you have to answer who the woman is. And what about them being carbon-based? Think about Carbon's properties, in a sense.
edit: LMAO MAGNUM! You know what, you pretty much got it. I think I know what you're getting at with the "pencildiamondcoalologist" XD But the white coat is indeed a lab coat. Kudos mon amie!
To pretty much sum it all, she's a chemistry teacher who has those materials to teach her students the different forms of carbon. =)

Why did a man ask his grumpy neighbor for his lawn mower when he had no intention of actually using it?

Besides the wide occurrence of carbon in compounds, two allotropes, or forms, of the element--diamond and graphite--are deposited in widely scattered locations around the Earth. The third form, fullerene, is unstable in comparison to these two forms and is thus not found widely.
Okay... the neighbor is not grumpy for any specefic reason, he's just grumpy, thats how it is.
So lets just imagine, I am your neighbour and you want to ask to borrow something of mine. I have a history of being grumpy and mean n' what not. So what do you think MY answer to you would be if you asked me of a favor?
P.S. take not I'm saying "a favor" and not "borrowing the lawn mower". <- but don't get stumped on this til' you figure out the first part. =)

I guess the man wanted to provoke a reaction that could be either interpreted in two ways, or is a play on words and a sort of a prank or something but I really don't think I could remember what it is. I give up.
Lets say you are the man who wants to borrow my lawn mower. Knowing that I'm grumpy, I would clearly tell you "no, I plan on using it tomorrow".
So think about the other part now. You asked for the lawn mower not with the intentions of using it, but for getting me to say no, because you knew I would. So can you try and figure out what it means and what you REALLY want from me. And keep in midn of the term GREEN.

And it isn't multiple different types of fuels. It is ONE type of fuel. Yes this fuel does actually exist.
Ah Serbian? Some of the words looked spanish, and some others didn't. SO I had no idea. xP
And I'll give you a hint, find a link between the three items. A commonality between them all.

EDIT: Anyway, I'm off to bed. Hopefully no puzzles while I'm sleeping.
Hint: Think of what a grumpy neighbour would answer. And while I'm on it, the green of the lawn reminded the guy of something else.

Remember guys, think about how the grumpy neighbor would respond to being asked if his lawn mower could be borrowed.
