Okay, I have to admit, this is from the newest episode of naruto. I didn't put it in the title because half the people that'd look at it would run off. But I noticed that for like.. the first 15 seconds of the episode, it had really eerie music. And I am so very sure it was a short bit from one of the songs from Diablo I. Here's the link:
Amazing. And although I know nothing about Naruto, just from those 15 seconds I know that someone just died. I love how movies/shows can deliver that information without actually saying anything. Its all though symbolism, music, acting and all that.
Really? I'm sure tis from Diablo I somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. Oh this is going to bother me. =/
Genisis, are you sure its ActIII?
And Atru, I agree, that whole episode had very few lines in it too. The first 5 minutes were no words, just crying. About for a stretch of 10 minutes, there' only about 1 or 2 lines, etc.

I skipped through some of the Diablo 1 music files in my mpq viewer, alot of it is ambient noise type music. So its very similar
After a few seconds the music from Act 3 starts getting parrot and chimp noises and whatnot from the jungle and some drumming aswell. Or what can only be described as "jungle clicks"
So from what I've heard it would be closer to the Diablo 1 music than Diablo 2
Diablo 1 music isnt exactly like Diablo 2 music. Alot of the "wow-hating diablo-defenders" seem to think that theyre going to change the music too much, but dont realize (because they havent actually played Diablo 1) that there are many differences between the music of the first 2 games. Diablo 1 music is much more chaotic and ambient, Diablo 2 has that type aswell, but also has music with more of a rhythm to it
I would say that they put much more time and effort into the music of Diablo 2
Just my opinion anyway
True, but the Diablo games are the only games I've ever played (or can remember right now) where ambient noises have been so much as suspenseful music
There is plenty of ambient music out there, but most of the time people don't pay attention to it. Many movies have it in the background, some games, and it passes unnoticed because the viewers are centered on the action.
