I am wondering if anyone here ever used, or is planning to use Source SDK and what are their experiences with it. Apparently, I can use it for free if I have bought a game, which I did. I'm wondering if anyone can reflect on powerful the SDK is. I suppose the only way to make anything outside of the FPS venue is to start with the basic source code?
My issue is, though, I've been having random problems with it despite the fact that I just barely installed it. I have "Wizard#" instead of buttons like "Next", and when I tried to make a sample template mod it got me a "Send Error Report" thingy.

because i know that source sdk usually come in steam games such as half life, portal, or Team fortress 2
and there are 2 versions i think
the orange box version and pre orange box version
I compiled a basic folder fine, it seems... now I need to install VS...
From what I read the source SDK is just it and it's the same at the moment. There was only one place to dl it and all it asked for is a steam game.
