I don't think this should be posted in another thread because it's not about a specific band, or your top 5 bands, or a genre... just about all kinds of music that you like that others might find strange.
I don't know about you folks, but apparently I have very eclectic musical tastes...
Well with all due respect, your tastes don't seem all that eclectic. You guys seem to mostly like music with loud bass lines and beats. Basically rock, metal, and techno. But I'll give you credit for the video game soundtracks NeroLucien and I suppose pop is a little bit different for you Elyk. Still I'm not seeing much musical diversity here. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Oh, that was just my current playlist. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there are people with more diverse tastes than me.
I do have quite the collection of orchestral soundtracks of Video game music, and I've been meaning to get ahold of my brothers classical music collection. Anything with a good choir is okay in my book. You're mostly right about the basslines and beats though. I do appreciate, not necessarily loud, but good beats.
to me there are only two types of music music that i like and music that i don't. i don't separate them into genres as i don't like ALL music of a genre or dislike ALL music of a genre
I understand now NeroLucien. Oh, and what I meant by loud beats was prominent beats. My bad.
Anyways, since I'm here, I guess I better discuss my not so eclectic tastes. Classical music is almost all I listen to although I take pleasure sometimes in listening to pop songs when my family plays them in the car. Rock too on occasion.
Of course, classical music is a genre that encompasses many other genres in itself so I guess you could call me somewhat eclectic but I don't really bother with mainstream music. Honestly, I don't know what to call myself.

A little bit of Folk Metal here. [Finntroll]
A little French Electronica there. [Yelle]
Some Finnish Industrial for good measure. [Ruoska]
Add in a healthy dose of Video game soundtracks. [Final Fantasy, Mystic Quest, Zelda]
Can't forget the Japanese Alternative/Metal or GOOD hip-hop. [Maximum the Hormone, MF Doom]
And none of my playlists are complete without Funk, Techno, or something completely insane. [Funkadelic, Daft Punk, Malice Mizer, E Nomine]
And you've got my average playlist.*
Post about all your crazy/diverse music tastes here.
*I have tons more music, but I obviously can't list it all.
