so last night i had a marathon on GoT and darn i tell u, i enjoyed every minute of those series whether some parts disgusted me, made me sad, or made me ROFL, i highly recommend to any1 who hasn't watch it yet. its literally and epic series and cant wait for next season.
It's un-believable. I actually started reading the books 5 years ago, and I've been waiting about 4 for the next one to come out (July 12th!). It is without a doubt the best series I have ever read. I was worried the show wouldn't capture just how epic it is, but they did a great job, as only HBO can. If you liked the first season, I HIGHLY recommend buying the books and reading them you won't be disappointed I promise you.
I loved the books and was highly impressed that occasionally in the show, they seemed to be directly quoting the books. Personally though, I am more excited about WoT's A Memory of Light.

If that made sense to you, Bravo! I think I even confused myself...
My favorite show ever. I ordered the books a while ago (in stores the first ones were sold out) and they should arrive tomorrow! With such a strong story they will still be awesome even if the writing is mediocre (which, I'm sure, it isn't). I can't wait to find out the rest of the story. Does season one totally correspond to the first book?

I can tell by your avatar. Mat is the best!
But yeah GoT is awesome, been following the show's production since they first announced it way back when. I've only read the first two books, but the show made me want to go back and finish the series.

It's been a while since I read it, but as far as I can tell it corresponds to the first book pretty much exactly.
Hey, for those that read the game of thrones book. Is it better to read the book first before watching the hbo show? Or does it not matter.
I have the first 4 ice an fire books havent read yet.
and ya, spartacus: blood and sand is a good one also if you guys havent seen it.
This show is awesome. It's like Lord of the Rings but with more blood... and boobs... Erm. If I were saying this anywhere but here I would be worried about sounding like a freak.
ehe. hey you guys.
I finally got around to watching the whole season 1 of this. I thought it was funny as all hell when Dexter came on the scene.
Who could believe Dexter could play a small lil midget!?
well, that lil midget bastard dexters i thinks the best character on this so far.
remember were they were making him confess his crimes? ehe, then he's all going
"well, i remember when i was a boy i stole a ladys towel while she was swimmin. and i remember her tits bouncing as she ran away crying". ehe. they he goes on about how he took a shit in somebodys shoes.
i dont know bout u guys, but everytime i see lil midgets i want to beat the shit out of them.
and do like midget wrasslin moves on then. like an elbow smash, tomestone piledrivers. and of course slamming them thro some tables. sweet chin music an kick him in the face.
Also, i just started reading the books since i want to see whats going to happen next.
How does book 2 compare to the first one? Is it as good or worse or better?
Makes me want to skip book 1 and go to 2. since the first book is really alot like the tv show. but im only just abit over 100 pages in so far.
Wait what? You don't seriously think the guy in Game of Thrones is Michael C Hall do you?
hey man, i wasnt sure if you meant dexter there. since i didnt know his real name but i looked it up and it is dexter your talkin bout.
but ya man, at first i thought the lil midget could of been luke skywalker from the old starwars movies but then i figured ol luke must be an old wrinkly sac of shit these days to fit this picture. so it muyst be dexter then, same fruity haircut same ugly puke face.
must be him.

Everytime someone says "Winter is coming..." I think of this.
To those who have seen it; is it better to read the books first and then watch or would I be fine just watching them without that prior experience?
I've heard many great things about it and comments here make me want to see it. Word of mouth is a brilliant thing sometimes.
I hate the way you cling to ignorance and pass it off as innocence
