GW2 got me curious from the start because it obviously had some new ideas. I've been following the game for a long time and it looks to be coming along extremely well. There was some really epic scenery in that video I haven't seen before.. wow!
I am dying for an MMO to switch to from World of Warcraft. I will without a doubt purchase GW2. You can dodge stuff! =o
I liked the original Guild Wars, so I'm probably going to give this one a shot.
Then again, Aion looked very promising, but that one let me down with the painful grind.
Hopefully there will be a trial to see if the funky combat system actually makes the game as good as it looks.
Meh, looks fairly shitty except for the graphics (which I'll admit, are totally badass). Honestly almost everything in that video I've seen done in other games, and they always fail. Tabula Rasa had several of those types of questing features, and that game was awful. As it turns out, having to recapture a fucking town for the 50th time just so you can turn in your damn quest is just a chore, not an exciting gameplay innovation.
Also, having reflex based combat tends to work poorly in conjunction with calculated combat outcomes. This goes doubly so for massive online worlds, where latency is a big issue. The action game player doesn't feel powerful because his items are holding him back, and the RPG player doesn't feel powerful because despite his badass items he's still getting his shit handed to him by a boss that requires him to move occasionally.
Maybe I'll end up being wrong and GW2 will be awesome, but I've seen all this shit fail before and can't help but think it will fail again.
(BTW I've actually had my eye on GW2 for some time, but just stopped caring when Diablo 3 started looking like it might actually release during my lifetime Not just judging based on the video)
yeah i have been watching WAY too many vids for this game. This game (while it might have problems in the beginning) will bring a new era of mmo. hopefully it will show people how shitty "the-game-diablo-fans-hate-above-all" is. I will defiantly have some trouble managing my time between d3 and gw2
I bought Guild Wars Nightfall in a deluxe edition and played it about 4 times, each with 20minutes to one hour. It wasnt something for me. Diablo 2 with expansion won over it in my eyes. And I kinda hate WOW so i think I pass on this game too.

This is going to be straight out brawl with D3.
I think this one looks more interesting.....
Btw... awesome graphics.
T_T I am joining the darkside !

Free to play with that level of quality? Very impressive.
GWII's combat is not going to be the same as Diablo combat though, I'm sure, I don't think the games are similar at all.
