Has anyone noticed about how many spider queens pop out of the mimics? In 2.2 I see about 15-20(correct me if I'm wrong) and in 2.3 I hardly reach 5-6.. I think it would be obviously better dps with lots of them with the new sets but if it's a nerf...
To my understanding; it's only reasonable.
You're only allowed to have 1 Spider Queen - why should your mimics/clones be allowed to have so many more, if they are mimics/clones of you?
It doesn't make any sense like that and therefore must be a bug or something.
Of course it's better DPS with more of them - that goes for every ability out there - but that doesn't make it "right".
Thanks for input. In my opinion It may be a bug, maybe not and bliz did it on purpose(at least till 2.2). The mimics could have their own cds and cast abilities but copying only the spells of player's castbar. I can't know how much dps could come out of that in 2.3 or if it is viable but worth trying. You see it is nice to have your spider queens stacking all together and not die(due to no health pool) and not stay back like fetish army and sycophants do. I think it may apply better dps and have no losses like staying back and behind walls like fetishes.
Also Tagger I understand that the player may cast only 1 at a time, but if this bug ( or whatever it is) could be part of a build?
In 2.2 my spider queens did 5-10m each and in PTR i managed (with not optimized gear - just the basics to make it work) to make them hit 120-150m each.
This has been a bug ever since the mimic helm was introduced. The mimics ignored all limits on all primary skills that have limits. This affected corpse spider - spider queen and firebomb pyrogeist. I'm not on PTR so I don't know if they "fixed" pyrogeist.

And it's going down to 1 since them spamming spider queens was a bug.

PTR is subject to changes so..expecting 2.3 release to see whats going on and how it is going to work. thanks for answering ppl.
