A) You can attack anybody, from monster in the wilderness to child in the city (Expect guards to run to his/her aid) and gain alignment concuringly. Perhaps exiled evil people would have to live underground, using a whole different city that good align could not get to.
That the night/day system is installed with bonus options.
You can attack ANYONE, you could attack Cain if you wanted, but he would prolly turn around and blast your ass. You can kill civilians, adults, children, inbetween. You can attack anyone.
Now because of this, you have to option to do things that would be considered, "EVIL" (Like attacking and killing a five year old girl).
This would develop to your alignment. A few things could happen from here.
For starters, you could very well be exiled from a particular city, if you go in there, guards attack you in the tens (I assume they would always half your level, so you can take a few down, but if they keep coming, you're screwed).
With this, you might have to find alternate ways of restocking, resuiting and repairing, thus "EVIL" zones would exist. This could be ANYWHERE. Heck, it might be in a cavern right under a "GOOD" city, or in the middle of nowhere surrounded by demons, who knows?
Depending on your alignment, different times of day (Night and day) would effect your STAT POINTS. Nothing else, it wouldn't take your skills or masteries down, just STATS.
Other things would be your apperance (Like "Black & White", if your creature was evil, it LOOKED evil, red eyes, blood stains, ect. ect.)
Countless things could be determened by your alignment.
I might be the only one here who thinks this, but i don't think Diablo3 should have an alignment based system. Really for me it goes against my belief for the series, always teaming up and destroying evil. But on the other hand The 3 prime evils are destroyed so I don't know.
Either way and I will still play, but The diablo universe has always been a You Good, Them Bad game for me.
