battle.net now has a "Diablo II music player".... pretty cool feature i suppose, although im not sure how many ppl will want to listen to diablo music while surfing the net. In my opinion, just another little way for blizzard to get people back into the diablo series.

Wait, this player is available in a separate window? I find that a little odd. I can't think of a single reason for Battle.net to put something like that out there, unless it was some kind of weak marketing scheme. Really weak.

Yea its on a seperate window, and it pretty much as every single song from diablo2... which i guess there is a few people who will enjoy the music, but most people dont really care about the music so uh...yea

A few? lol!!, not hardly. Game music is one helluva critical piece of the blockbuster game puzzle. Without good music, a game just will not last. If you disagree, go e-mail Blizzard, or just about any other game developer with more than two or three fans, they could use a laugh.

I understand that there are people who really like the music, i mean i even like the music, and yes it does make the game much better when there is creepy music playing and your about to run into a boss.... but the majority of people who do love the music while playing the game, arnt gonna like it while surfing the net, i wouldnt think at least...there are always gonna be some who enjoy it no matter what they are doing, but in my opinion to be reading a forum for example, while listening to diablo music just seems kinda pointless. All in all, i believe blizzard put it there for more then one reason, sure i guess in a way your right, maybe i was wrong to use "not many people" as im sure there is quite a few who DO like the music while doing other stuff, all im saying is.. blizzard put it there to get people back in to the diablo series more then they did for the players to relax to.

You may actually be onto something there. Perhaps it is indeed some lame tactic to drag people back to the Diablo series, kicking and screaming, so that there is at the very least some kind of fanbase left for the game when they finally release it. I am starting to get a little agitated with how long it is taking. Blizzard's 30 minutes or less is up by now, so I want mine free.

If blizzard does not require PTP, then a large turnout for the release would be highly desirable.
