Found this article about Immortal: “I think announcement was a poor job or the time when we announced Diablo: Immortal wasn’t contextualizing what we think the future can be and what we think of mobile in particular,”
Nah, they just kept quiet on it until next BlizzCon comes. The game is ready for half a year now, at least that's what the China partners said. Why they haven't released it yet? Cause no one would buy. They wait to wash the hate on this BlizzCon with whatever bullcrap of lies they will announce about other Diablo projects , to hype people and then, you will see, they will release the game even during Blizzcon perhaps. And people will buy, cause that's how human mind work. They throw us a bone and we throw to them our money.
They should have announced their progress on their other diablo titles instead of expecting people to eat their shit and love it for diablo immortal.
I honestly assumed they weren't going to make this game anymore since I haven't heard a peep since it was announced.
From what I vaguely remember from some random mutuals, they were planning on a D4 announcement within a couple weeks of the event but it got pulled for some reason. D4 being announced isn't even really a shocker, I'm pretty sure it was lowkey confirmed by implication shortly after the con last year.
Honestly, I have nothing against Immortal, it was just unfortunately, wrong place, wrong time, very wrong question. (don't you have phones?)
I don't really either, honestly. But the PR around it was wrong, and any fan could have told them it was going to turn out poorly. The best solution would have literally just been a slide that publicly said the sequel was currently in development with like a piece of art, followed by a "we don't have anything else to say right now but it's coming." It felt odd at best and wrong at worst, and I think it speaks to either losing touch with the fanbase or losing the authority to communicate effectively due to decisions higher up.
I guess you're not saying any of that, but for discussion's sake I figured I'd say it

Yeah, what I meant was there was already an outcry for Diablo 4, and people joking that the announcement was going to be a mobile game, and then when that is what people got after being hyped beyond belief just to be shot down a few days before, telling us to not be that excited (I'm still waiting for that this year).
people went nuts, and I don't blame them, Blizzard lead everyone on and had all these people purchase blizzcon tickets and virtual tickets just to completely disappoint them, people were understandably upset.
I'll bet anything Immortal will be a great game, and although I was reluctant at first, I will end up giving it a shot.

Diablo Immortal ?

I think they will wait to launch it while they will show some trailers of Diablo 4 at Blizzcon.
Something like: "Play Diablo Immortal while u wait for Diablo 4!"

Same here. I believe the only reason it got so much hate is that ppl were expecting a D4 announcement and we didnt get one.

Who cares about Diablo Immortal!!!
There will be DIABLO IV!
I think the Blizzard president can't even name 1 Diablo class besides Barbarian.
