I just re-discovered Diablo, playing it in a PS1 emulator (in my youth I used the PC version...)

It was fun until the end of Level4:

I just slain Gharbad the Weak, and I cannot proceed further, I cannot find any stairs down,

and getting back to town nobody points me in any direction.

Where should I go now???
