What were the good and bad things about this game? I liked the music, lol. It was pretty good, and the blacksmith was pretty good too. Only bad things were the combat system, and the movement. I played the Playstation and the PC, and I would have to say the PC totally kicked it's ass.

I guess a 7 would be unfair, considering that I played D2 first and D2 was much better than the original (in my opinion). But it was too short and the fact that you couldn't run pissed me off.
I tried playing Diablo I on multiplayer, but I could never ctually get "connected". So ya...that sucked. Anyway, playing all alone night and day (very addicting  ) I got my warrior up to lvl 67 or 68, I could never get to the very end!!! I always got stuck in the lava area, and I knew I was close to big d. Anyone care to let me in on the details as to what happened after you kill him? :?

It's been a very long time since I've played that game, but it just ends once you kill him and tells a story about how you did something to the soulstone to imprison him and you never talked to anybody and one day you just left.
Haha, hope your not talking to me ...I wasn't ever able to get that crap to work.

when you kill diablo a video starts. diablo turns to stone and his body crumbles away. underneath what used to be diablo's flesh there is a man lying with a hole in his forehead. you look at diablo's soulstone and then violently thrust it (point first) into your forehead, and scream at the air. it the shows the dark wanderer (who is you with diablos soulstone in your head before you become diablo in act 3 in d2), talking about the far east and how you travel there for some reason.
Wow, sweet, thanks alot. I wasn't expecting such an informative response as yours  Try giving me some background into that "special" armor you receive in diablo1. It was in some sewer area, referred to as sacred, hero wore it? I believe.

sorry i only started playing the original diablo like 2 weeks ago, i did the quests until the poisoned water supply because i then realised that the rewards were pretty bad. i was rushed to diablo thats why i knew what the fmv was, sorry i couldnt be of more help.
ps if anyone knows about the armor i would also like to hear about it.
The only special armor that I can think of is "Arcane's Valor". Sometimes there is a side quest in lvl 5 that results in you getting it. It's unique and pretty good, although you will find better stuff later on. Also, when you are in hell there is an old knight guy that will give you a badass helm(my fav one). As far as I know, the best(legit) armor in the game is actually called "Godly Plate of the Whale". Also FYI, the best sword you can find IMO is the "Kings Sword of Haste".

Really lvl 67 or 68 in diablo 1? How long did that take you .
oh man i give it a 10..for its time but now really if i played it now it would get like 8..i remember being so little and playing it on the 1 computer in our house sharing with my brother and staying home "sick" tying up the phone line for like 8 hours straight play on internet..hellfire was awsome to but there was no frikken multiplayer for it
I gave this a solid 10. Simple battle system (run, target, click, dead, run, target, click, you die, run... etc.) Lots of blood, violence is all i really need.

If a Dreadlord has wings, why is he always walking?
I rated it a 7 due to lack of a run button. =/ Otherwise, I can't think of any better things Blizzard could have done with this game. I didn't play to the end only because of how long it took to do it =/
Well, I lied. It was a -bit- too dark in -some- of the upper levels (sucked to be a rouge cause I'd run right into the enemies). But that was only a few of the monsters that weren't easily visible. And only a few of the levels were like that. Just a little beef I have with D1.
i gave it a 9, because I, unlike others, didnt like the duping glitch. But i got it a couple of months after it came out and played it everday, and i was like 4 years old.
And i loved the look of those Laucharan or however you spell it Knights.

Of the Diablo Games, I started out playing Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. I had the Battle Chest of the Diablo Series and I decided to play LoD because of the better playability and more people online playing. Until just a couple of days ago, I started playing Diablo 1. I am playing single player and I'm a Warrior. I am now level 19 and I'm down to level 14 of the dungeon. So far, I like the original Diablo because it is actually fun as hell. I gave Diablo 1 a 10 rating because this is what started the Series and without it, there wouldn't be a Diablo II, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, or maybe even the rumored and speculated Diablo III.
