diablo 1 has much respect from many people and deserves every spec of it. hell i even respected having to "walk" the entire game..it adds to the theme of the game...slowly creeping into the abyss of hell
Diablo 1 set the bar at an hole new level for blizzard. Even if it's not that great anymore it still deserves are respect.

Great game. The only down fall to that game was the client side information with the multiplayer. But it was really one of the first, how else where they supposed to get it done at the time. Cutting edge voice actors and memorable characters.
I've had many discussions on why the first Diablo in many ways is a greater game than Diablo II. But I still think it's really fun to play today. I totally respect it for what it is and I think as far as gameplay and story, it's held up amazingly well to today's standards.
+1 to that, the dualing in diablo 1 was so legit. Specially with the load times everyone got everytime they went into the church. it was like as soon as someone went through and waited the 12 seconds they had to dodge 20 fireballs and prey there wasnt a bonewall blocking them in ....good times playing that game
hmm maybe in the not to distance future it could be remade, in all its glory. though i'd like d3 first lol
Actually, that's sort of being done. There's a mod for NWN that allows you to play D1 with the NWN engine....don't know if it's still being worked on though. Ah just checked, YES it's still being worked on, though I haven't tried it http://nwn.tolitz.com/
there's the link.
It also includes Hellfire content as well.
ya i think that could work. becasue diablo 1 was also on the playstation. so why cant it be on another console. god that would be scary as hell to meet up with the butcher on a 32" screen in the middle of the night. that would be pretty cool.
also what if they reinhance diablo1. like gave the graphics a touch up. not like major change over. just a little fix here and there. make it a little more real.(possibly)

Hehe that goes without saying, my friend.
I still play the original Diablo regularly, and I read librarius ex horadrim every so often to refresh my memory of Diablo's history. I love the storyline behind the series.

i like the game but i dislike the fact that you can only bloody walk hahaha
Yes, that is the only real downside, but you soon get used to it.
I still do too but face it. You still don't get the same thrill out of the game has when you played it for the first time.
Somehow the game has never lost its impact on me. So I could play it, beat it, put it away for a few months, dig it up, play it again, beat it again. It never gets old for me.

To find the truth, you must risk everything.
