Hey everyone. It's been a little while since I logged on and posted, but I wanted to take the time to mention a site that I came across a little while ago. I'm sure that many of you have seen the site and/or have posted about it sometime in the past, but I just can't help myself. The site was Diablo Evolution and has some really interesting reading and screenshots of the making of Diablo. It kept me entertained for a day or two, and sometimes I check up to see if there is anything new added. Well, if you have not taken a look at it, I highly suggest that you give it a shot. Until next time.
I came across the same site myself a while back. They also have a legit Diablo Alpha you can download and play. Granted it is very buggy but it was fun to play and see what was going on in the development of Diablo 1.
Old site, but A good read. especially in regards to the portions of the game/s that were cut prior to release. I wish they put them back in with patches though.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
Wow - amazing stuff. Diablo 1 really changed from the user interface we use today - and Diablo II was much darker and gritty pre-release! Wow, truely incredible.
1998 cinematic for Diablo II - why did the warrior (now dark wanderer going east) drop his soulstone on the floor when the caravan was going? Just curious is anyone knows heh
Ah, now this I've never seen before. I love that picture of Izual on the homepage. Our banner should be more dramatic like that.

I've often wondered that myself. I don't think there's any lorewise reason. I just think they either weren't sure what kind of exclusive teaser to create, or they just wanted something like that to look really cool. For all you know, that Soulstone is still in his head and he's just imagining it there. He is crazy after all.
Just a teaser I think. Doesnt even have the same voice as the warrior.
Also that stone looks much bigger than the one he cuts out of Albrecht's (Diablo's) forehead. Much bigger.
