Is there a button to see items ont he ground ? Like in D2, i looked in F1 to see the controls but can't find it, and i'm sure somehow i was able to see the items who dropped on the floor before. But i can be mistaking...
if you are talking about D1, which I assume you are, then no. There is no button to show the items on the floor. There are scrolls though, not sure if just in hellfire or regular, that will highlight the items on the floor when used. otherwise just keep swiping your mouse over the screen until you see something.

if surrounded your done lol and will prob never get your stuff back either x3
last resort, ragequit b4 ur character dies, press esc quickly then new game, never lets u down unless ur wireless mouse dies, or u can just altf4, start new game and continue questing
Basically your best bet to find items in a crowded area is the mouse over the screen, square by square.
By this I mean the one square that your character occupies, mouse through the screen 1 of those measurements at a time.
Aside from that, just make sure to listen during combat. If you hear a ring drop, you've got some searching ahead of you. They're damn near impossible to find in piles of corpses.
