Hey, tell me about your favorite characters you play in this?
I thought i'd give this game another try, havent played it since last maybe march.
that was when my subsription was up, but theres a free week play code out there that i found
yesterday on gamefaqs,com.
My highest guy i have is a paladin just got to lvl 51 this morning. But he's boring as all hell to play. I do like his heals tho. I figured i'd keep moseying along with him till i hit level 55 so i can make a death knight. But its kind of boring as shit. and i forgot why i quit this game cuz it kind of sucks shit. with the boring as all hell same quests.
i dont even read the discriptions anymore when i get a quest, just "accept" kill 10 hayenas collect 10 dog meats return an "accept reward".
But i figure it must be cuz of the paladins boring as f*ck.
What im asking is what classes have the most fun attacks? I like doing damage the most but some self heals is nice. Which is why i went with paladin in the first place.
Does the mage have any self heal spells? i think i might want to try him. i wanted to try a death knight the most but i cant handle another couple days of grinding to 55 with paladin.
yip, them boys crack me up. if you'd like to watch bit more of brown chewin gum can see here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aSE4a7GnxRc
them 2 son bitches all seem to be having some good fun.
Well man, today i played a mage till lvl 9. i already like him more then paladin.
my new mage going thro the disinfecting stage:
after i took this screenshot i noticed some old screenshots i took from some months back when i played. heres some nice shots.
Here's one from early on, after making an undead character:
Heres me, with my good buddy darnell who has all the dead sad bastards on his back there.
it was very funny now that im remembering taken this scrrenshot back then, since i made darnell follow me around for awhile with all the dead bodies he had to carry before i turned in his quest.
Heres a nice one were you gotta drag a creep around with a rope:
I remember another quest like this one were you gotta get a date for a lonely skeleton. So you go down near the lake an find a fish lady murlocs i think there called. And you beat the shit outta her an tie here up with a rope an drag her across country back to the lonesome skelton. that dragging of the creeps always cracked me up.
my dwark character:
feel free to show off your coo armors an weapons, i dont have any since my characters are all low levels.
I played PvP arms warrior for ~4 years, but after a while you just grow away from it, it's not that it's bad it's just that it doesn't... connect with you anymore.
Hey, i was playing my old warrior/orc today an gained 2 levels am now lvl 31.
But its kind of boring questing, wish the leveling was alot more faster in this game.
What warrior do you like better arms or fury? Right now im using fury looking to get level 36 or whatever lvl it was to get the whirlwind skill.
Dont think i want to go protection, was the other warrior spec protection? or am i thinking paladin here. anyways i dont want to tank, just doing damage is my thing. And the whirlwind skill is my type of skill.
You are joking me, right? Leveling in WoW is a breeze now, the difficulty (what little difficulty was there in the beginning) was removed and every sort of reward is inflated up to the skies and back. People leveled to the max level naked, without using any talent point, without killing a single mob. Seriously, WoW leveling is as easy and as fast as it gets in a MMO, up to the point where it's plain boring, due to the lack of a challenge.
Warriors are fun to level. Fury combat is fast paced and constant, arms is slower and more burst oriented. Which is more fun? Fury imo, I like the berserker theme, jumping from mob to mob until everything is dead or my HP is so low I have to chicken out and recover. Which is more effective ... not sure, probably arms because it's much less affected by hit/expertise, which you don't have much while leveling. Also the burst fits leveling better, because mobs tend to die after you unloaded all your abilities and procs.
Protection is not good to level as, unless you like the "I'm a turtle, you can't hurt me" approach to things, with the downside of being slow at killing stuff. That means you shouldn't have your main spec as prot, but you most definitely should have it as second. You can kill tough mobs with it (if there are any left ... give old Stromgarde Keep back (or Alterac Ruins)! Fighting those elites was probably the only time I felt alive while leveling.
u talking to me, in that case i dont play WOW i was thinking of diablo 1& 2 and torchlight, that my favorite overall character in ARPG's
Leveling from 1-60 got quite easy with Cataclysm, I have to admit. The Burning Crusade quests are the most boring part of leveling right now (probably cause I did them like 7 times already).
My main has been a mage for years (gnome ftw) which is also 85 now. Second favorite was a rogue till TBC. Then Warrior and Paladin kinda won me over. Protection paladin is awesome (and quite overpowered) to level. Warlock is nice (affliction or demonology) for leveling. Respec to destruction at max level for decent damage.
The main issue with WoW isn't that it got bad with the expansions. Cataclysm is probably it's best expansion. The main issue is that it got old.
Shaman. I have one level 85 (Main - Troll, Elemental), one level 83 (Orc, Resto/Enh), one level 80 (past main on my old realm, Orc, Resto), one level 64 (on the same realm as my old main, Troll, Elemental). And I am planning on leveling a dwarf shaman soon
hey man, are all your guys shamans? and why is that man? i was thinking about trying one myself and going elemental for damage. or preist since they also have heals.
Who does better damage shamans or priests?
Mage & warlocks do more caster damage do they?
I was watching videos on warriors bladefury i cant remember what that skills called blade something. It looks like my kind of attack skill, like the barbarians whirlwind in d2.
My warriors 33 now an still need the whirlwind skills, anyways whats the difference between whirlwind an bladefury? There both spin attacks.
As I remember, Bladestorm is the same as Whirlwind. Done multiple times at once. You keep moving and doing Whirlwind for a set amount of time. Awesome when you've gathered a nice amount of enemies around you. If you also have Sweeping Strikes active it makes Bladestorm way more effective
Couldn't stick with one my entire WoW career (which ended shortly after cataclysm), but i'd say the deathknight provided my most prolonged period of "hey this doesn't suck," and I even got to raid as a tank for a few patches. =x
For pvp, playing mage on RMP (aka "license for wins") was the most amusing although that got boring fast as hell. Fuck arena.
Rogue. Started out, rolled up a rogue and played it for five years straight. Sure I had alts, but they are my love.
Of course they are nooby-easy-street, but that's not why I played them. I truly enjoyed the class. I did have alts and other 70s/80s/85s, but none got the attention the rogue did. They had enough tricks to them and I always felt useful; even with how bad we were around the Tier 7 start I didn't QQ and run off to roll Ret. I still busted my ass, I was happy. I have two 85 Horde rogues, and one 85 Alli. Best progress was with Alli rogue, starting at Karazhan (RIGHT before Wrath) and working through raids up to Firelands in Cata (which was when I let my account run out).
Never got in to the healing scene until goblins showed up, and then I decked out a shaman. Always loved how chain heal worked and looked, even if it wasn't the 'go to spam' anymore. Sadly didn't get anywhere.
My first tanking love was Druids. Rolled one up in Wrath, made it through content to ICC with him. Still love them. Paladins are a close second (but I've already shown how much I love easy mode ).
Every time I try to make a Priest, I get bored really fast.
If I was able to get to at least 10 without saying "Fuck this, I got better shit to do" I might actually like it.
Anyway, I got one of every class except the rogue and the priest. Cannot stand the rogues, they feel like weaker forms of the druid cat form. (Granted, I leveled 1-70/80/85 with cat form, so that's probably why I am bias. :P) I usually play the paladin or the warrior. I kinda like the mage though. Being able to run around while casting is mad awesome.
well, me played every character to 85, so got 10 of them... even deleted my 80 warri to create a worgen one, levled it in 5 days from scratch to 85. gotta say, lvling never was easy as today, get heirlooms and you see urself up the hill.
there are characters that are easily capable to manage almost every quest, even hardcore elite group-quests, like for example beastmaster hunter and demonology warlock while other characters can get stuck on those, like rogues and mages, who just lack the healaspect. i know, rogues have blabla, but its just not that much, if the elite-trashmobs cast you to a bloody pulp.
nontheless, every character can lvl very fast depending on your understanding, which depends on your interest of the class, so take a look on what you really like to play and go for it, the best motivation goes a long way if you play something you like.
i like them all. not always and not in every situation, but variation is my key to fun. even in world of warcraft *cough

Blade Flurry is the rogue ability you get for speccing Combat.
The warrior ability is Bladestorm, as you said.
really? are you a elf or gnome or what?
