So, I've scoured the internet and watched over a dozen D3 pvp videos, pretty much every last thing I could find from blizzcon.
I then kept a loose count of what characters were played and their K:D ratio.
Now it seems to me that there mathematically becomes to key players in the PvP arena: The Barb and the Wizard
The Barb's increadibly leap attack is nearly akin to a tele in D3, and has great survivability and if he can use his leap well, and get close, he can do some serious damage too.
The Wizzard seems to dominate even more, as long as she can tele to health orb when she (or he I guess) needs too... then between slowingtime (and increasing damage), and high damage ray's and hydras to flank... she can be a formatable opponent.
It was always the Wizzard (a few times the Barb) that really seemed to dominate and come out with the best K:D ratio.
My question is this: Do you think the wizard will continue as a PvP 'wizzard' (pardon the pun), or do you think that these classes generally did well because they are basic and their abilities are inherit in any diablo fan at blizzcon... and with the release of the game and with more 'training' some of the other characters will contain more potential.
I think some characters, like the monk, my prove to be amazing, quick speed, can bassically tele into an attack and rain fists with amazing dodge abilities, but hard to say.
I unfortunatly do not have the beta but I would have loved to do some videos on PvP builds, now I know PvP isn't in the beta so my next question to those of you that do have beta...
When it comes to the Skeleton King, which character do you find finishes him off the fastest and with the least threat to life? (I'm working on the foundation of fighting one boss monster is more akin to a pvp than a mass of skeletons seemingly held together by toothpicks :P) - I know this is FAR from actual pvp, but the question still stands.
