I will like the arena, if I can customize it. If it is generic 3v3 team duels then hell no. Ill be out of this game and so will a ton of the old school players, well sell our gear for some quick cash to kids who can't handle ez mode D3 PvM and move on. Simple.
Good riddance? You're not likely to get most of what YOU want based on how you seemingly played D2. Seems like the only one that loses is you. Sucks that you cannot adapt to enjoy a game with awesome gameplay...but oh well.

Riiight awesome gameplay....smashing my face into the enemy for the 100000x in an ez mode PvM...yay.....I haven't done that enough over the past 12+ years. It is kind of refreshing to know that your type won't be in the arena, I mean wouldn't wanna break a nail or harm anyone right? Itll also be refreshing to spawn kill your whole team in that pathetic team death match style ha. Hope you feel good when I have 100 kills by myself and your team has 3 combined from killing my 2 partners.

See, I will play Arena. I'm actually quite interested in Arena. Lucky me though, I won't have to play against you if you're as good as you boast about. I get to enjoy playing both PvP and PvM...awesome.

Well see how it goes, with their design plans I expect your type to be the exact type at high end, so lucky me.

Someone that generally focuses on PvM and only PvP's casually for fun being at the top? I don't think so. ^-~
Oh yea, haven't you heard? Diablo PvP is all about gear. And who to have better gear then a PvM focused guy?
I really don't expect the matchmaking to mean anything, because just like Starcraft you will have pros in every division making it "unfair" to all levels of play. Me? I love the challenge, and I hope it is there in Diablo. Way they are designing game, it looks like itll be pretty damn hard to suck at anything too.

You know Adon... I don't really understand how you expect anyone to take you seriously. I've looked at your posts from various threads on this forum and you always come off as 'crazy'. You ignore logical arguments, fluff your ego, and treat people like crap. You sound like the old stereotype of a gamer....someone who sits in their parent's basement, spent all their time playing a single game or two, etc.
Blizzard has made the game difficult. I mean, they are expecting inferno to take months before it can be farmed. How does that not equate to difficulty?

Months before completely farmable doesn't tell me anything. They recently just had to retrack their old words because it bit them in the ass. It is a Diablo style game, they can't make it so hard that it takes months to correctly farm because then people will become aggravated and upset and quit. I am sure Inferno will be a challenge, do I see it taking 3-4 months to be farmed correctly? No. I see it taking a month tops and it will be farmed. Do you have to possess some skill to do that? Yea, im not worried in that aspect though.
What are they doing to keep a skilled player interested in Diablo? Hopefully adding that content you always talk about, well see though. Looks like they are making a game for players who need their hands held though.

If (and I do mean a BIG BIG if) you are remotely as good as you claim to be, sure you might have no trouble grinding your way through till you can farm inferno in a month. However, you'd be likely less than 1% of the community. As I've stated previously, games aren't generally designed around those type of gamers anymore. Now days my grandparents play video games. My own mother played quake quite heavily. Gaming isn't some secret group of elitist people anymore, and games are generally made for the majority. The majority now days are casual gamers. Sure, Blizzard wants to appeal to those crazy gamers who want super hard gameplay...and they have (hardcore, inferno). If you're somehow so skilled that Blizzards attempts to challenge you aren't enough, perhaps you're playing the wrong kind of games... I mean if they aren't fun.. why buy em?

I didn't say they weren't fun. I love PvMing, it just gets old to me. The grind of the same monster for the 1000000x, the grind of the trading gets old to me. PvP offers a dynamic and random variable, so it stays interesting. It is why I enjoy fighting games.
I don't see Inferno being as difficult as they say, I hope to hell it is so it will be interesting, but I don't see it happening. I see it then walling off a ton of the community and pissing people off. Now you saying they make games for the majority and the majority is casual gamers, then why would I someone who is not casual have any problem with casual content?

Well, you huff and puff so much...I really don't know how skilled you ACTUALLY are. So who knows how difficult you'll find things. If you buy Diablo 3 just to play the game through all difficulties and eventually quit... that doesn't mean the game is bad. Just means you finished it. Games can end and still be good. A lot of people will find the continual grind a ton of fun, while others will enjoy Arena, and some WILL probably play through the game and be done. Those same people will probably buy any expansions, play through them, and be done. That means Blizzard has managed to create a great game. Just because the people don't want to grind constantly or kill other players forever doesn't mean its a bad game or Blizzard has done wrong.
That said, Blizzard is trying to make content to keep people like yourself entertained for a long time. I have a feeling that hardcore inferno farming will be a rather difficult challenge that'll cause many many character deaths. If it turns out easy for you...well you can say you did it and be done, congrats.

I want a duel system as well....in Arena.
