Hacking the "hacker", haha nice one, but how's that any better/mature then what he's doing? Also isn't that sharing/stealing personal information?
That's like caring for murderers because they are people too. It's easy to isolate those who deserve relentless punishment...and they only deserve it and lose all of their human worth at the moment of their blatant offense....not to say that your inquiry is wrong...but its definitely worth examining if that makes sense....
There is no reason why you should be posting personal information. In the event that it is someone from that group, then you should be contacting the authorities if you really don't feel like minding your own business. If the information you provided is incorrect but still belongs to someone, you could even get charged with defamation.
firstly this is public information found on google that I did not create but am just passing along from research so I can not be charged with anything.
I agree. Poster should be banned for posting personal info. If you think it is genuine, give it to the FBI. They are now involved due to bomb threats made by the group, and would probably be happy to get more leads to arrest those guys.
Well I have to give the OP props for putting this out there and scaring the bejeezus out of me with what people can find out about you on the internet. However, bear in mind that not everyone resolves these issues passively. Should something happen to this guy, you'd be surprised what law enforcement can do to you - within the law or not. There are people who would quite literally murder someone for interrupting their play. Ever see a hardcore raider get DC'd on raid night on the only boss they need? I have. It's not pretty.
This dick'll get what's coming to him. Send this info to the cybercrimes division of the FBI. Call the local PD. Call the local cable companies. Hate to see you get banned for outing this douche. Good work, Robin Hood.
First off, this is off-topic. It does not belong in the Diablo 3 General Discussion, so I'm moving it.
Second, while I can't say it's illegal to just share this link/information (as it's available for the public) and there is no proof that you were the one who got it, this would be at the very least an invasion of his/her privacy, and is not something we are willing to allow here at DiabloFans. It doesn't serve a purpose, and let's just say I'm personally gonna go with "better safe than sorry" in this particular case.
Third, while you won't be banned or infracted, be advised to not post this kind of information in the future again. I hope you do understand.
I won't necessarily be locking this thread, cause people are allowed to discuss this particular matter if they so desire. It seems like a very heated topic.

Very neutral in this case. How nice (no sarcasm)
Why can't the mods from mmo-champ be like this instead of letting their impulses and personal preferences judge instead of abide by the set of rules established? ... anyways... For the purposes of this one particular topic, an account that was created solely for the purpose of posting a link imo should not be allowed to remain active, similar to how mmo-champ does as it is considered "trolling" and "bypassing bans and/or rules in order to post something"... but w.e I guess.
Thanks for posting.
ps: I thought new accounts weren't allowed to post links. weird :/.

Actually, Kuzunishi has been a member of DiabloFans for 2 years, 6 months, and 6 days so I don't think it's someone who created an account just to spread this info.
And either way, I'd rather go with a friendly warning than go guns blazing and insta-ban the guy. Even in some more harmful cases (like spreading botting info, or name shaming) I'd rather just let the person know beforehand. For the sake of fairness.

(dialbo 3! on topic! sorry Zero(PS) !)
Hmm, so you think its allright to murder a murder? Does it make it anything better ... ?? .. ...
This kid is obviously not part of the team ,otherwise FBI would've stopped him long ago if it was that easy to get his info, this kid is either someone acting like he is part of the group or someone that is using his PC. Dont accusse someone that fast.
well each case is unique that's for sure...
I'm the last person to accuse someone so automatically. In fact I exhibit this trait to a hindering fault...trust me.
and to ponder:
I don't automatically think that murderers or hardcore criminals should be butchered...but there are times when they have been and I OK with it.
How is this relevant to the discussion? well personally: I do not think that hackers should have all of their personal info spewn out to the world
but their have been times when it has been and I'm OK with it.
So you can see my reaction is the last piece of the puzzle after "reality" is processed the feelings about it are felt and described...
so its more so a commentary about any number of similar cases....not a personal conviction of people whose info will be posted as if they are actually the ones responsible.
But yes in closing to drag this post back sharply on the topic of supposed hacker's info released on Dfans after supposed hacker attacks Blizzard servers,
I do not think the act itself is categorically WRONG, due to the inclusion of those whom I end up not caring about being a possible outcome, But I would 10000000000% advise against posting the info here under any circumstances and advise so in preemptive defense of the person who might consider posting it.

The season is underway. Don't know if I'll make it through.
Akarat save me !

Better safe than sorry indeed...
