After reading Scyberdragon's thread about the choose your own adventure story styler RP I began to think, hey that looks like fun. So, I decided to start my own. Same basic rules as his, first option that gets the first 3 votes I will build off of that. So here it is, have fun.
Props to Kamrad, for the Evolution thread/game thing who's idea then lead to Scyberdragon's choose your own adventure story thread. Can't forget you 2
Douje Frezde woke up startled to the sound of a clap of thunder roaring across the sky. The heavy down pour of rain pelted the roof and windows of his house. Lightning streaked an eerie flash in the dark clouds that permeated the night sky. He rolled over to see his beautiful bride, Vera, still asleep in her dream-state of a slumber. He kissed her gently on the cheek and put his arms behind his head gazing off into nothin as the sounds and sights took over his docile mind. Images of war flashed through his head that he had ascertained from his father's stories. Monsters beyong natural belief flashed before him that his father had slain over and over again using holiness as his guide to vengence. Douje had never experience such war first hand like his father or brother, Yeft, had. He was the weaker one, left alone with his mother and sisters while his father and brother took on their own Pilgrimages. After their deaths, Douje felt obligated to take matters into his own hands; to rise up against and purge the terrors that plagued the lands that his family died trying to save. Douje, now sets out on his own Pilgimage, like his father and brother did many years before.
The images would not fade from his mind and would not allow him to return to his confort of rest. He got up out of bed and walked downstairs as another streak of lightning followed by a crash of thunder rang out in the night. He stopped at a cabinet and slowly opened the doors to nothing but glimpses of silver. Yet again, lightning shown through the windows revealing the true nature of what was help inside the cabinet Douje stoof at. A full set of armor and a sheathed sword hung in front of Douje's trained eyes. He removed the sword from its resting place inside the cabinet and slowly pulled it out to admire the blade. He quickly pushed it back into its sheath and put it back into the cabinet, closing the doors. He walked away back to the stairs, hoping to return to sleep to be rested for the next day. But the house was soon lit up by more lighting as the sound of rolling thunder echoed through the house. Douje sighed to himself and looked back over his shoulder at the cabinet.
"I'm never going to get back to sleep with this noise. Maybe I could..." Douje spoke softly to himself.
Should Douje:
A. Return to bed and try to get back to sleep.
B. Stay up, thinking about his father and brother.
C. Get out his armor and attempt to train.
"No, the weather is too bad, I must get some sleep for tomorrow," Douje told himself, walking up the stairs to return to the warmth of his bed.
He entered the room quietly as to not wake Vera, who still slept graciously. He crawled back into bed and pulled the covers over top him. Douje laid starring at the ceiling as the sounds of the storm seemed to pass over the house. They were fading into the distance as Douje's mind followed. Deeper into nothing Douje's mind wandered as he rolled over and looked out his window at the bleak rain pouring upon it.
"Everyone we have to leave now!" shouted a sorceress at his bed side.
Douje jumped out of bed startled by the awakening. Cowering people of his village surrounded his bed crouched from something unseen to him. He looked around panicked, but didn't see Vera. Everyone ran out of the house and Douje quickly followed them out. The sun glared down upon their village as they emerged from Douje's house to the street. It was littered with blood and debris from neighboring houses, but no reasoning to be had.
"What is going on here?" Douje shouted, but his voice was lost in the comotion of the people.
Other people ran down the street franticly from whatever demonic beings terrorized their village. The people that had awoken Douje followed the fleeing people out of the town, but Douje ran back into his house, returning with his armor and sword to the street. He charged down the street into the courtyards of the town to fend off any form of evil. Rushing into a clearing archers and huntresses stood ravaging their village. Frightened people stood, pleading for their lives only for them to be taken regardless.
"Please, don't! I beg of you!" begged a man to a huntress.
She showed no remorelessness and drove her spear through his torso. He coughed blood and fell to the ground. She removed her spear and turned toward Douje, charging him. With a quick side step and slash to her back he rended her dead. Douje ran at another huntress slaying her where she stood. Archers drew their bows and fired volleys of arrows at Douje. Three struck his shield and two found their targets, his leg and shoulder. He knelt in pain, but continued his push against them. He slayed two archers, but more arrows burrowed deep into his back.
"No, this cant be happening," Douje said to himself, "I'm the son of the legendary Geth!"
Douje returned to his feet and fought on killing other archers. An arrow stuck deep into his collar and huntresses surrounded him with their spears drawn.
Suddenly, Douje awoke from his bed. Sun shinning through his window, birds singing and rain drops trickleing from the trees outside. The smell of a morning's breakfast entered his room and laughter could be heard from the downstairs.
"What happened?" Douje asked himself, "Maybe Phryx can help."
Should Douje:
A. Tell Phryx about his dream.
B. Keep his dream to himself and search for more clues.
C. Warn his village of the invasion.
Douje gets out of bed and walks downstairs to see Vera and his mother, Frena, enjoying morning coffee with each other. He walks into the kitchen, greets both of them and pours himself a cup of coffee. Douje sits down at the table they're sitting at and holds his coffee with both hands stealing its warmth. He thinks about his dream he had and about the meaning behind it.
Maybe I shouldn't tell Phryx. Douje tell himself. I don't want her to worry; maybe I can figure this out without having to involve other people.
Douje finishes his coffee and the pancakes Vera had put it front of him while he was thinking. He rises from his seat and makes his way to the cabinet that holds his armor and blade. He opens the doors and starts putting on his armor and puts on his sword. He heads to the door, kisses Vera goodbye and leaves for the day.
Douje arrives in a field where a lone sorceress stands, Phryx. Douje draws his sword ready for whatever Phryx has planned for him as she turns around and smiles to him.
"How are we today?" Phryx asks Douje.
"Not bad, what do we have in store here?" Douje replies.
"Just some fun."
Phryx runs to Douje as he takes battle stance. He comes at her with a slash of his glimmering blade, but she flips over him, dodging his attack. She lands behind him and with a quick spins conjures a fireball at his back. Douje falls to the ground as the scorching fireball screams over him. He regains his footing and charges Phryx, striking furiously with his sword. She blocks his attacks with her stave as Douje's assault continues. With a quick crack Phryx swings her stave at Douje's head and he falls limp to the ground.
It's dark out and the moonlight only shows so much as Douje follows a cloaked figure through a thick forest. He can barely see what is in front of him, but for some unknown reason, can make out the cloaked figure perfectly. He stops at the edge of a clearing that the cloaked figure walks into. A large campfire burns large and bright in the middle of the clearing with huntresses and archers standing around it. The figure walks up to them and lowers his hood, revealing who he is.
"Namahs," Douje speaks softly to himself as Namahs greets the apparent leader of the encampment, "What are you doing? You're a Guardian. You're supposed to protect Intue."
"Douje, Douje, get up. Come on Douje," pleads a voice.
Douje slowly opens his eye to the suns light and a shadowy figure, who he makes out to be Phryx. She helps him to his feet and he rubs his head.
"I didn't even hit you that hard," Phryx jokes with him.
Terror comes over Douje's face as he realizes the meaning of his vision.
Should Douje:
A. Tell Phryx about his visions and try to figure out their origin.
B. Investgate the encampment.
C. Confront Namahs about what he has seen.

"I got to go," Douje tells Phryx, as he runs back to town.
"Alright..." Phryx says to herself. She crosses her arms over her chest as pure energy forms around her before she vanishes.
Douje reaches the center of the village where a large extravagent temple lies. He stops for a moment and thinks over his decision that is at hand. Accusing a Guardian of such a thing is blasphemous. I must do it. I must let them know Namahs is a traitor! Douje starts his way up the stairs toward the Temple of the Guardians.
Douje slowly pushes open the large wooden double doors and walks into the main hall of the temple. Rows of benches line the back of the hall up to a railing that serperates the benches from the large desk that is on a platform at the front of the hall. There is a group of young children that are getting shown around the temple by a teacher and at the desk sits the Assassin Guardian, Vrah, busy with papers. Douje walks up to the front of the benches and leans over the railing that seperates the benches from the desk.
"Vrah, can I speak with you?" Douje askes politely.
She waves him forward without looking up from her papers. Douje looks back to the group of children in the hall as he slowly opens the gate and walks toward the desk. He walks up the three steps that the desk is raised on and puts his hands on the desk to speak with Vrah.
"Is Namahs around?" Douje asks her.
"No, he's out right now," Vrah tells him without looking up, "Apparently, he's out training."
"He's training demons to raid Intue. Namahs is a traitor!"
"What do you mean?" Vrah asks him as she stops writing and her eyes meet his.
"Plan and simple. I have been having visions of terror striking the heart of our town and just now I saw Namahs behind it all."
"Do you realize what you are saying?" Vrah asks him lowering her voice, "You're saying that a Guardian, choosen warriors that protect Intue, is actually siding with demons to destroy our village?"
Douje does not reply, he only gives a slight nod. Vrah sits back in her chair and gives out a sigh at Douje's warning.
"Jerfuth!" Vrah calls out.
"Yes ma'am?" a stout man replies from the side of the hall.
"Ring the bells, council is in session. And Miss Goodall, this will be a closed council, I will need you to leave. Thank you for visiting."
Miss Goodall shoos her class out of the doors as the sound of bells toll throughout the village. Two doors open on either side of the hall and Rytier, the Paladin Guardian and Lovkyna, the Amazon Guardian walk into the room and take a seat at the desk. Namahs and Vestec, the Druid Guardian walk through the main door at the back of the hall. Phryx teleports into the hall as she had done off the field moments earlier. She walks up and sits in the larger chair that is located at the center of the desk. One seat is left empty as the bells cease.
"As the Supreme Guardian of Intue, this council is now in session," Phryx announces.
"Phryx, this here is a closed council as their shall be no spectators of this meeting." Vrah tells her.
"Why is that Vrah?" Phryx asks looking down the desk to her.
Vrah does not answer her, but looks at Douje who is now standing at one of the tables by the railing. Phryx looks at Douje for answer as he stands waiting.
"Well, Douje, it is apparent that you are the reason for this council, so have at it. Why are we called here today?"
After a long pause Douje speaks, "Lately I have seen visions of horrible things. First, I saw a vision of Intue being attacked by huntresses and archers as our village fell to their arrow and spear. Then, I saw the man behind the attack. Namahs! He is a traitor and is plotting the down fall of Intue with these demons!" Douje states firmly.
"Are you mad, Douje? Namahs? He is a Guardian!" Phryx reminds him, "Your accusations cannot go unnoticed. Once you've said something of this nature you cannot take it back. There is no excuse for this. Are you prepared to go this route?"
"Yes, Phryx I am. Do not look at me as some young warrior looking to be a hero. Take me for what I am. I am the son of Geth. You, yourself fought beside him and you watched him fall to the demons. Do not let this happen to our village. Please, do not take my warning as being niave, for it is not."
"I would never commit or be any part of these actions Douje is accusing me of. Never in my life," Namahs tell the council.
"I am sorry, Douje. We all are well aware of your father's legendary status, but that does not allow you to accuse Guardians of such actions and not suffer the repercussions of doing so. We take these matters seriously and I cannot see clear evidence of Namahs doing this as he has explained. He has 17 years of Guardianship under his belt and I do not think that he would turn to the other side." Phryx says to Douje.
"This is what it comes down to then, right? His word against mine?" Douje asks looking down at the table. Douje slams his fist down on the table with rage, "You all are blind! You cannot see passed your own sheltered lives to see such a malevolent thing happening right here in front of you! You all will see! All of you!" Douje screams to them.
"Douje! I will not have this in this council room! May you be the son of Geth, but I will not have such descration in Intue! Remove yourself from this council at once and come dusk are banished from Intue and not to return! Leave now!" Phryx yells.
"Banished?! You all are so narrow minded!" Douje yells storming out of the council.
Douje walks down the stairs of the temple and starts to leave Intue. On the outskirts of Intue a drifter sits by a small campfire looking through his knapsack. The drifter gets up and walks toward Douje who ignores him.
"Nice try, heretic," the drifter tells him, but no action comes of Douje.
Douje stops, thinking Heretic? This drifter couldn't know of my banishment... unless... Douje turns around, but the drifter is gone. Only the small campfire is left burning. Heretic the word rings out in Douje's mind.
Should Douje:
A. Plot to try and kill Namahs.
B. Attack the camp outside Intue to protect Intue.
C. Go against his banishment and plead to the council again.
D. Look for the source of his visions.
I'm sure at this point I'm not going to get another if any more votes for my story, so whoever wants to, you can move this thread and my OOC discussion thread to the archives. Oh well, sorry to anyone that actually wanted to keep it going, which I'm sure was only scyber and eldermoon.
