All of the Fallen around Jerfuth seemed to have fleed to area. Jerfuth shifted back to human looking around as a reason why the Fallen would have fled. He turned to see a demon standing amongst them, but this demon was different. He was not fighting them, he was fighting with them.
"There's no easy way to say this... but I'm the son of a demon lord." the demon then spoke, "If you're still with me, we've got a lord to rescue, and demons to slaughter."
"Dagon?" Jerfuth spoke approaching the demon, "Who am I to judge you for altering your form to succeed in battle when I stand here and do it myself? You were a brother then, and you are a brother now," Jefruth ended with his hand outstreched toward the new Dagon; the better, faster, stronger, demonic form of Dagon.
"What was that?" Jerfuth said as a roar of comotion echoed into the church.
He turned to the doors of the church and flung them open, peering out into the courtyard where two of their allies had continued to fight off the hordes of Fallen.
"We must help them! They surely can't win this one on their own!" Jerfuth yelled back to the rest of the group that had taken refuge in the church.
Jerfuth quickly shifted into his hawk form, taking flight toward the masses of Fallen. In mid flight he shifted into bear form and fell onto the Fallen that were battling back against the wall of zombies Ja'quar had summoned. Slashing, ripping, and biting his way through the Fallen, Jerfuth had pushed back many Fallen. He fought harder and stronger than he had ever before, taking minimal damage. I am lucky, he thought as he severed the arm of Fallen from it's torso, Mother Earth has granted me more power than I ever could have imagined. Jerfuth fought on and on, his body had been restored by Mother Earth while he had rested.
Everything was hazing, his eyes were still shut and only the sounds of what was around him made their way into his head. He heard Dagon, but suddenly the chatter between everyone had forced its way into his head. It all seemed to be a bunch of chaos to him as he could not tell any voice from another. Then the smell invaded his nose and his eyes opened.
What is that smell!? It's terrible. But a roof, he thought,we're inside somewhere. Someone has brought me here. I hope we're save,he continued to think while everything came into perspective. He rubbed his tired eyes and sat up, realizing that whoever had brought him here, had left him on corpse. He quickly scurried off the corpse and looked around the room. Everything seemed to be fine, but one thing. A monk stood before them.
"I'm Jerfuth, Druid of the Singram Tribe," Jerfuth said standing up and attempting to walk toward the monk with his hand outstretched, but he stumbled and caught himself on the nearby wall, "Guess that'll happen with a loss of consciousness. Anyway, I'm Jerfuth," he tried again without attempting to shake hands he leaned against the wall, rubbing his head in pain.
Jerfuth stood next to his allies as the doors to Olenta were swung open. The Fallen had claimed this town as their's and feasted on the mangled corpses of the villagers. The Fallen charged at the group as they quickly made way throughtout the town, killing Fallen at any point available. Jerfuth had shifted into a bear and mauled down waves of Fallen, taking slashes and jabs from the little demon's blades. Cudgels and maces struck the thick muscular body, leaving open wounds which blood spewed from. Jerfuth finally broke away from another stampeding pack of Fallen long enough to run. He shift back to his human figure and walked into a destroy house that was still ablaze.
He sat down with his back leaning against the wall trying to catch his breath. He lifted his right arm using his left arm coming to the realization that the bone was broken. Slashes and stab wounds cover his torso and his back as blood poured from them. The house burned more and more as flamed poured from the upstairs. Jerfuth looked up as the flames creeped down the stairs and along the wall before engulfing both. I cannot stay here and die. I need to get help, Jerfuth thought as he began to stand, I need to get back to the cart, back to my allies.
"Ugh," Jerfuth moaned returning to his feet, he slowly stumbled his way out of the house back toward his allies who were still fighting off the Fallen as the house bacame totally devoured by the flames, "There's so many. We can't win"
Jerfuth took the form of a hawk and tried to fly back to the cart, but he did not make it long in the air. He flew a couple yard and came crashing back down to the ground at the feet of the others. His body shifted back to his human form as he lay unconcious on the ground slowly dying.
Jerfuth had transformed into hawk and had perched himself atop the cover of the wagon that followed the others down their path. He made the understanding that they were travelling to Olenta to fight to regain control of the town from more demoms that had overrun it. Jerfuth pushed himself off of the cart and flapped his wings hard, thrusting himslef into the canopy of the forest. The thundering clouds ahead told him he should investigate. He flew ahead, but could not make it to far into the storm as it was not natural.
He quickly flew back to the cart to warn the others of the news ahead of them, but realized that Dagon and Seddrik had already made their way up to a shadowly man, quickly followed by Borin. Jerfuth swooped down to the ground, transforming back into a human with an elegant flip.
"There a mystical storm ahead," Jerfuth yelled in the prescene of the man, turning to him as well, "I am called Jerfuth, druid of the Singram Tribe."
Jerfuth ran around the courtyard with Borin shooting Fallen at any chance he could. The Fallen could not match the speed and agility that Jerfuth had as a tiger, but it was not only Jerfuth's speed that was a factor. Time seemed to be slowing down. The Fallen moved with elongated motions as they attempted to chase down the tiger only for their death to come quickly by Borins arrow. That's really odd, Jerfuth thought to himself, Who could possess magic of such a magnitude?
But suddenly time had caught up with itself as two demon hounds came racing at Jerfuth and Borin. Before Jerfuth could stop and run, they had jumped on Borin, knocking him from Jerfuth's back. Jerfuth quickly stopped and turned to Borin's aid, pouncing on the back of the attacking Fallen hounds. Jerfuths large fangs dug deep into the back of the neck of a fallen hound, crushing its spine. It fell limb under Jerfuth as he clawed the other hound away. The hound backed up, dodging the ravaging claws which gave Jerfuth enough time to pick Borin up and run for cover.
Jerfuth leaped onto the roof of the shop next to the bar and slowly lowered Borin onto the roof. Jerfuth's tiger appearance began to fade and he became human again.
"Stay here. That gash in your leg looks pretty bad," Jerfuth told Borin, "At least it wasn't your arm. This roof should give you a nice vantage point."
Jerfuth looked back to melee of Fallen trying to enter the bar, which seemed to be protected by magic at this point. Hopefully they can hold their own in there,he thought once more as the other Fallen hound was running at the shop, trying to leap onto the roof to finish Borin and Jerfuth.
Jerfuth leapt from the roof, transforming into a bear, clashing mid leap with the hound and left it mangled on the courtyard street. Jerfuth rushed into the hordes of Fallen, swiping and mauling his way through them in a frenzy of flesh, claw, and fur.
Jerfuth had entered the bar with the rest of the group and sat along with them, drinking ales that had been put in front of them. Not long after the first round was served, all Hell broke loose.
"FALLEN!!!!" Dagon yelled warning the bar.
Suddenly, the entire town was in uproar. Townsfolk that had been in the bar started to panic as the sounds of a distant bell warned the rest of the townspeople. A patron laid dead on the floor due to a Fallen's arrow, but with Ja'quar mastering the dead, the patron had been raised to fight the Fallen. Drangar had quickly made his way to the door slashing Fallen down as they entered the bar, before Ja'quar shut the door, holding off the fiends. Borin and Seddrick then pushed their way into the bar, fleeing from the festering beasts that had started to invade the entire town. The others started to follow suit, Vaker blasting Fallen away at any chance possible and Dagon quickly racking up a decent sized body count. I've got to get into this brawl,Jerfuth thought to himself.
Jerfuth quickly scanned the bar for an suitable companion for his idea at hand, his eyes setting on Borin, "Borin, come with me into the alleyway, I've got an idea. Quickly!"
Jerfuth ran to the side of the bar as he changed into the tiger like he had done before. As his transformation completed, he jumped through the window shattering the glass, giving off a thundering roar.
Jerfuth rose out of the water with enough force to completely soak the stoic barbarian, who hadn't formally introduced himself and Zhao. He had turned back into his human form and was wrestling a large swamp fish, it's teeth dug deep into Jerfuth's bleeding arm. He quickly grabbed his staff with his free hand hitting the fish again and again until it stopped flopping around.
"I don't think it was nothing, Ja'quar," Jerfuth said prying the fish's small dagger-like teeth out of his arm and tossing the fish back into water, "Maybe I should look like such a meal though."
Jerfuth stepped back into the group following Ja'quar to wherever he had been leading them. As they walked Jerfuth wiped his profusely bleeding arm off on his cloth undershirt. He then removed a small pouch of fine white dust from his bags and sprinkled on his arm before pouring a small amount of a yellow goo overtop the dust. Jerfuth began to rub the subtence together over the wounds, clenching his teeth at the pain of the medicines taking affect on his arm. There better not be anymore suprises like that, Jerfuth thought angerly.
"Dagon's in trouble" Borin yelled to the group following the sound of Dagon's cry for help.
Jerfuth ran, transforming into a tiger, to where Dagon was hanging upside down. A man approached Dagon from the shadows, threatening him with death, but he kept strong, telling the man that he would die too, if he killed him. Suddenly, a bright pillar of white light flarred up in between the man and Dagon, blinding anyone in the proximity. After shielding his eyes, Jerfuth turned back to the man and Dagon noticing that the other former slaves had joined him at his side, ready to take action if necessary. The light had faded and Dagon laid on the ground, next to the man who had set the trap.
"Easy guys, he's not here to kill us. I happened upon one of his traps, no harm done," he said as the other slaves rushed to Dagon's side, "Well, at any rate, seems we've got ourselves a guide now, lead on."
"Hi there", the man said to the crowd before introducing himself and telling the group how to get to the closest town.
Jerfuth eyed the man intently, trying to read the intentions of the man as he shifted back into his human form. Hmm,Jerfuth thought to himself, Dagon seems to be a wise man, I would put my trust into him to make a good decision. I just hope this is the right one. Jerfuth took a step into the murky water of the swamp, his boots sinking deep into the mud. He looked around to the others with a smirk on his face. His skin started to turn a deep emerald green as his armor and weapon had done before. His eyes changed into small black slits and his new forked tounge flickered between his large, vemon dripping fangs. Jerfuth then slithered ahead through the muddy swamp water with ease.
"I told you my name is Stryder, but everyone calls me Borin. I live in the Shrival Wilds where I learned my bow skills." Jerfuth's archer companion during the battle told the group.
"Pleasure to meet you Borin, my name is Seddrik" another man replied.
"Good to formally meet you, Borin. My name is Jerfuth, druid of the Singram Tribe," Jerfuth said making sure he acquaunted himself with this man.
Seddrik displayed some of his magic to the group, while Borin told the group of his capture. Jerfuth did not want to tell his story of his capture for he felt that that part of his life was past and should be left behind. Jerfuth would take the good things from the time on the slave ship, but leave the rest behind.
Standing back up on his hind legs, Jerfuth let out one more powerful roar, his mouth dripping with blood from the slavers throat that he had been devouring.
"ARCHERS AND SPELLCASTERS, FOCUS YOUR EFFORTS ON THAT KRAKEN, BRING IT DOWN, WARRIORS, PROTECT THEM!!" one of the captives yelled.
"Bring it down before it capsizes the ship!" another man yelled, directing the rest of the group.
Jerfuth's brown fur started to fade as his armor and staff began to reappear as well as his eyes turning back to their natural hazel color. Jerfuth became completely human again as he looked around, analyzing the battle at hand. The mages and archer were freezing the water around the Kraken disabling its escape. A bruteful man stood fending off the fearless tentacles from the mages the best he could. While others fended off slavers and tentacles together. The slavers numbers dwindled down to merely none and the Kraken quickly became the biggest threat that the former slaves had to deal with.
"I'll protect the archer!" Jerfuth yelled to the others, running over to the archers side, who had just finished a tussle with a slaver, in his favor, "Do not worry, I'll stop any more slavers and the Kraken from getting to you. Unload a volley into that Kraken," Jerfuth told him.
Once more the hair covering Jerfuth's body began to grow, but this time orange and black stripes streaked down his body. His eyes turned to black slits, his teeth turned to fangs and his ears became long and pointy. He put his hands down onto the deck as they transformed into paws with lethally sharp claws. His armor and weapon disappeared into his fur again as he completely shifted into the form of a tiger as a tentacle made its approach.
Jerfuth pounced onto the incoming tentacle clawing and biting it with a unknown source of vigor. He tentacle fell limp with Jerfuth still attached, but still came crashing down on the ship's deck, spliting the wood. With his feline agility, Jerfuth managed to jump away barely before being smashed by the massive tentacle. Jerfuth growled ferociously warning anyone or anything that would try to attack the archer or him would surely end in its death.
Jerfuth rose from the ground after being tossed about the ship like a rag doll. What the hell? he thought before another man spoke his thoughts.
"What the hell was that?!" he yelled.
"KRAKEN!!! EVERYONE ON DECK!!" the call from a slaver upstairs came down to them.
"EVERYBODY CALM DOWN! Dangon has a plan," another man shouted.
"New plan, we rush the upstairs, take the remaining slavers by storm, and make it to an escape boat."
Jerfuth ran to the bottom of the steps where an archer stood readying an ice tipped arrow. A man pushed past Jerfuth running up the stairs and drawing two hidden blades and fighting slavers. Jerfuth quickly followed suit of the others running up the stairs. He found himself in the middle of the carnage; Kraken tentacles ravaged the boat, splintering the wooden deck while slavers ran around trying to kill the Kraken as well as the slaves.Three slavers surrounded Jerfuth, backing him into a corner with their swords drawn.
"You're going to die little man," one of the slavers taunted.
"Never," Jerfuth simply replied as he put his hands together, channeling the energy from the Earthmother.
Jerfuth's muscles began to bulge as the hair that covered his body began to grow and become a dark brown. His eyes turned to a solid brown color and his ears shift downward. He sloutched over putting his hands on the deck floor as they began to grow into huge paws with protruding claws. Jerfuth's cloths and staff disappeared into the the fur that started to form all over his body as he took complete form of a giant brown bear, standing on his hind legs.
"RAWWRRR!!!" Jerfuth's thundering roar echoed around the ship calling attention from slavers and slaves alike.
Jerfuth swiped at the first slavers with his massive paw striking him down in a bloody mess. Another slaver was on attack, cutting Jerfuth in his left shoulder, but Jerfuth quickly bulldozed on top of him shredding him with his claws. The last slaver was wise, retreating away from Jerfuth, with no avail as Jerfuth charged at him ramming him into a broken ship's mast. Letting out another booming roar, Jerfuth looked around for more slavers to cut down and they were plentiful.
Jerfuth stepped forward to the cases that held the gear of the former slaves as others rummage through it looking for their gear. Jerfuth moved a couple pieces of armor to the side until he saw his primal tiger armor. Removing the armor piece by piece, Jerfuth put it on, over top his other leather armor and under cloth armor. He then saw his staff with its unique claw headpiece. He lifted the staff from the case and put it on his back as he removed his two pouches, putting them on as well. He quickly checked the bags to make sure that their contents was still inside, much to his pleasure, it was. He took out a small section of a branch with red berries and pointy leaves from his left pouch before crumbling it in his palm. Jerfuth put his fist into his palm grinding the subtance down to a mixture before rubbing it on his head where the bump was.
"Ahh," ame a sigh of relief, "That's much better."
"Doesn't look like they'll be coming down for a little while, mabey I can find a way to buy us some time," one of the other people spoke, peering up the stairs.
"If you need assistance with any scouting, I would be more than happier to help," Jerfuth said to the man.
Finally the keys were passed to Jerfuth, allowing him to unlock his cage and crawl out. He found himself at the end of a battle between and man and a guard, the guard overpowering the man. Luckily, another man, apparently a mage, froze him where he fought allowing the other man to escape certain death. Jerfuth looked around the now brighter room, examing the other people that had been taking slavs with him. Some men looking strong and muscular, while some looked powerful with spells and magics.
Like I was saying, where do you think they have stored all of our weapons and armor?" the room filled with talk again, "I am afraid without my bow I am not much help but if we can locate our gear, I am sure I can aid in our liberation."
"I will stay a bit behind, i cannot use my magic without my staff" spoke another man from across the room.
"Do not worry. I'm a expert at shapeshifting. I am in no need of weapons, just people to kill," Jerfuth told the group boldly.
Jerfuth awoke to the muffled sounds of other people talking. As he lifted himself up, he sized up the bump on the back of his head where a slaver had hit him. As he gently touched it, pain was sent shooting through his body. Oh man, that's going to be there for weeks. I wish I had my herbs, he thought to himself, realizing that his pouches and staff were missing. Jerfuth felt the walls of his cage. Solid, cold steel made up the four walls with the exception of the small, barred hole just big enough for Jerfuth's face. Although his cage was completely sealed off, it was roomy, easily big enough to hold Jerfuth's tiger form.
Jerfuth put his face up to the barred hole peering out into the nearly complete darkness, the only light coming from the faint glow of the magic supressing shackles. Looking over to where he had heard most of the voices from Jerfuth spoke, "My name is Jerfuth, druid of the Singram tribe."

The last slaver was wise, retreating away from Jerfuth, with no avail as Jerfuth charged at him ramming him into a broken ship's mast. Letting out another booming roar, Jerfuth looked around for more slavers to cut down and they were plentiful.
