very good points sacaba (sorry if i murdered your name) but yes, it would be a very clever business ploy indeed, one i hadnt considered. companies have done it in the past, i just cant think of one ><
arent warlocks like male witches?? thats what i grew up knowing. earth would be a great element to control though. imagine a game where you can raise the ground your enemy stands on, and then its a lot more interactive and harder for duels, not just the same thing over and over again. for pvp duels, i think that the first person view would be kinda cool.
i think that it would make it harder for those who start new, those that do not have the benefits of good characters in diablo 2. also, how would that work with the chronomancer?? wouldnt that be able to lag the game?? i dont know how that would work, since everyone would be slowed down and make it way harder for them to fight him.
when you look at it in that aspect, diablo 3 as a mmo like a WoW would be kinda nice. however we've waited too long for a similar diablo that we know, so the mmo can wait for diablo 4.
it will most likely be around this new year, however they will show it to the world then. then a whole half year at least to ready the demand, and then release it into the public and watch as their so-thought over production of the game be torn off shelves and their entire inventory go drastically low. i think that blizzard will have a hard time distributing this product without people cannibalizing each other for one. fortunately i would emerge victorious, with probably 20 copies of the game which i would probably sell for higher prices here or other places. this gives me more money, and then i can quickly start preparing for hibernation of life as my body and mind focus on making my character godly.
well, what would they do with the old ones?? and arent those new servers supposed to be like "WWOOOWWW!!!!!"??? i still think they are too many servers to not use for diablo3. it could be very likely that they are setting up these servers for the massive flood of players to diablo3 when it comes out. it would be smart to get the whole infrastructure finished and polished before releasing it to the public. when it comes to blizzard, my loyalty sees beyond the torture they are currently putting us through, but eventually we will have diablo 3 and we will all get drunk the night its announced, while acid takes a major crap as he promised. ^^
