Also, being in parks and such that have specified hours is trespassing i.e. criminal conduct.
Right... I never asserted that wasn't the case. However I don't know the specifics of or if these parks have a curfew typed ordinance. I suspect they do not or this would be over a lot quicker. They wouldn't need undercover cops to find reasons to arrest/eject people from the park if it had a curfew. I'm sure some of the occupiers are trespassing but I bet the majority are not or this wouldn't still be going on.
Tents yes are most likely illegal but that's sort of the point of an occupation and civil disobedience to break some minor laws to direct attention to larger ones. Which I'm not sure anymore what they even represent, this thing has been hijacked and twisted so many times since the beginning. I never said their cause was just and noble or they were all angels and all police demons but when I see rights being stomped on and police not preforming their job it annoys me. That goes both ways though. If I saw that a mob had assaulted and pepper sprayed a cop you can bet I wouldn't cheer.
They demand nonviolence, peace, and transparency from the police and government but they dish out that exact thing.
Don't get me wrong I think it's great to see people united behind something but I think they're for the most part very misguided and at the upper levels corrupt now. It's a sad situation.
Maybe if you weren't a bunch of trespassing douchebags making a mess of their city, they'd be more obliged to help.
Being on public land isn't trespassing, and calling them ALL douchebags is a rather broad statement.
My only problem with the video is none of those cops even tried to look into it. They knew he was undercover and gave him a free pass to do as he pleased.
I've got to ask since when if you report a crime to about 20 cops or more do none of them take a statement. Even if the guy was lying (which by the way physically touching someone without their permission is assault). As for the cops leaving their post, well that's their job. If they're just going to stand by and allow something to go uninvestigated because they're entering a "trap"? (not sure why there would be a trap there hasn't been anything like that yet) that's pathetic.
Following someone on public property is also not illegal unless there is a restraining order in place or something. Following a guy who assaulted you trying to get a cops attention is most certainly not illegal.
I was definitely being sarcastic. Yeah that's how they dress on their days off. They were just hanging out I'm sure. Their boss also doesn't mind if they're protesting either. He probably gave them a nice bonus.
More taxes would basically lower the middle class the rest of the way and we'd just be left with the lower class and the upper class.
Its already that way.
I know a lazy ass (and i mean literally lazy) "poor" chick that gets everything fucking paid for her. Food Stamps, Welfare, Rent Assistance, Daycare assistance, Medical Assistance... all because shes too lazy for a real job and slutty enough to get knocked up by 3 different men that none of which she was in a relationship with.
Here income is drastically less than mine... but her standard of living is better... explain that?
I'm not sure how it is where you live, although I'm fairly sure it's the same. You can't be on welfare indefinitely. You have a certain amount of time in your lifespan, 5 years. After that you won't get it any longer. Foodstamps however are different I think.
I don't think it would pass. Social standards have advanced more than people give them credit for since then. Especially since the South is largely populated by African Americans (thats such a stupid word, it assumes all black people are A: from an African descent and B: From America)

Wow. Nice job police.

To be fair though, if I wasn't getting laid here, and I was rich, I'd be traveling trying to get laid in other countries.
Humans just like to have sex. Well a lot of animals do too.
