No it's not. Read up on the engine before you make generalized comments. Just because a majority of the games coming out on the engine happen to be games where you shoot things, it doesn't mean the engine is strictly for FPS type games.
It's a high-poly based engine. It's programmed to be a high-poly based engine. It's rooted in high-poly. It grew up like that.
An engine adjusted both for low-instance and high-instance would fail at both, and UT would never have that.
You don't take a high-poly engine and put a low-poly game (which Diablo III would be) in it. It makes no sense.
How about you look some info up on engine programming.
