Yea I realize that however we will have to wait to see how it matches with xbl. As of right now XBL has the upper hand no question.
Yeah, that's extremely true. I think one of the main things I'm thinking of with Home specifically is if it's going to have lag because it's literally an enormous player-based world. That could negatively impact its success, I'm sure.
Right. Each system has its ups and downs, to say any system is superior is stupid.
Edit--
Anyway, I have a response to this now:
...once again magistrate if you read the paragraph he is talking about how you cant invite friends to play with you in a game on PSN with ease. Not about cross platform PSN/Xbox live....and xbox live cross platforms with PC..PSN does not have that option.
Sony is late in implementing it, but that function will be completely available, for free, with the free release of Home, which will have all the features of the Xbox Dashboard and more.
It's both of theirs; I didn't say it was specifically Xbox Live's problem. They both need to get over themselves and let their players communicate cross-platform.
He was making a simple counter argument to his argument like every good writer should do. Ever take a college writing course? He clearly shows how xbox live is better.
It's funny how he doesn't prove that Xbox Live has anything that PSN doesn't in that snippet, then.
You seem to have misinterpreted that part of my post. I was referring to accessibility, layout, functionality, and content based on this section of the article:
“I like their store. It’s different… It’s more like being on a web page so to me... visually its familiar.”
“I think the original PS1 games. I think bringing those back makes sense, it’s in their library.”
its MUCH beefier than psn's
Compile an actual list of everything available on both systems' online stores (currently) and I'll compare it based on that (or provide a link to a comparison, please.)
Yeah, that had no stable facts in it. It only offered things like "Xbox Live is better because you have to pay to play games online with gold membership and communication is free" and "PSN's store is nice because it's more like a webpage"; PSN has both gameplay and communication for free and offers the PSN store, which can be used to buy tons of PS1 games as well as some low-profile newer games, which Xbox Live does not. That link didn't help you at all, I don't believe.
Edit--
On another note, I'm not dumb enough to say that the Xbox 360 sucks or anything, because it's a good basic system. The main thing that is helping it along at the moment is its array of games, which is substantial to the only recently released PS3's. The actual PS3 system is superior in design and functionality, but it is lacking games that are good (it only has a very select few.) However, comparing games that a specific system can play exclusively is not comparing the system itself.
At any rate, I'm playing Halo 3 with my little brother and my best friend as I type this (I'm waiting on a game to fill up so we can start playing), and I'll tell you that it's about the only FPS I like. Given, once my games come out I will never let my little brother's 360 even touch my HDTV again, but at the moment it's fun.
It may be free but its garbage compared to my $5 a month Xbox Live.
Facts please.
I'm not fighting here cause I really don't care what xbox and ps3 have and don't have (I have a ps3, however lol), but isn't Playstation's project "Home" supposed to kill xbox online? Not starting a fight its just what I had heard, I don't even know much about it.
That's what I've read, but only time will tell. It's supposed to be free, too.
You know what's funny? So far I have only 1 game for my PS3- The Orange Box. I'm waiting on Little Big Planet, Final Fantasy XII: Versus/ Final Fantasy XIII, Portal II, and some other things that aren't coming out until this fall/winter. I've had the thing for half a year now. Oh well, it'll be worth it, imo.

I was under the impression that you were implying is was "a start" toward "confirming a superior system." My bad.

The PS3 is free online- what are you basing this on?
And yeah, this thread is unnecessary. It should be in that console poll.
