Bane felt Simi's teeth digging into his body. His intestines pouring out as he watched Simi suck them up like spaghetti. Soon after finishing his guts, Simi moved onto his brain, ending Bane's life.

Bane thought to himself about the situation he was in. He was no fighting along side humans, those who he had grown up despising for the way they treated him as a child. His years of solitude only fueled his hatred for these creatures. But, now, he owed his life to humans.
Bane stood up after hearing their newest orders. He overlooked his human situation as he became eager to fight off more of these demons from Hell that had slaughtered his entire town and his loved ones.
"I am ready sir" Bane said to Ignis. He pulled his newly acquired axe from the floor and holstered it on his back. He took a step out of their tent and raised his snout in the air. The mixture of smells and sounds alerted Bane to the camps removal. People were packing up, leaving their make-shift homes and starting over again. Bane sniffed the air again, this time he smelled the distinct putrid aroma of demons.
"Perhaps these demons are closer than we thought" Bane exclaimed to the others.

"My name is Bane. Thank you for saving my life" Bane held out his hand with slight hesitation and shook the man's hand. Bane took a second and held his snout up in the air. Taking in quick deep breaths, Bane quickly located a source of water nearby. "Just behind those trees is a clearing with a small body of water. It should be enough for what you need." Bane answered. "I don't know what your abilities are but my ribs could use some looking at when you get what you need."

With his eyes closed, Bane's thoughts took him to a place where he thought he would never return. The fields covered in grasses and flowers, the sun gently providing its warmth on his skin. Just over the foothill, he saw her dancing amongst the roses.
Just as Bane was about to rush over, his dream was suddenly ended to the voice of a man. "Sir, I can help everybody here recover from the skirmish. All I need is water and fire. Could you help me?" While not being asked directly, Bane felt he could help in this matter. The warmth of the initial fire still burned and Bane could feel its heat on his skin. Bane picked up the club that had cracked his ribs just moments ago and held it deep within the fire. He pulled it back out as a flame danced on the tip of the weapon.
"Here. Hopefully this helps" Bane briefly commented as he held the club towards the man. "Sorry, I have no water unfortunately" Just as Bane was about to turn back around, the smell of poison came off of the man. He recognized the same smell as the poison that infected his assailant. "Are you the one who saved me back there?" Bane asked the man.

Bane stood their in silence. He took in the senses the battle had offered. The rich iron blood, the sighs and groans of the yet-to-die, the warm air from the heat released by the warrior's body. He stood in silence, picturing the carnage that lay before him. Demon and human alike laid on the ground, the bodies no longer breathing or beating. His body heaved up and down as he finally got the chance to catch his breath.
"you're free to do as you please, we do not expect anything from you, though know that we are fighting the hells and your assistance would be more than welcome."
Bane heard the Human explaining their plans to the rest of the stragglers who had been freed. The idea of joining these humans, angels, and even demons made Bane's spine shudder."Have I become this hopeless and desperate" Bane thought to himself.
He remained silent, curious as to who would join this group, this group who thought they would be strong enough to over throw the forces of Hell. This group who risked their own lives to save those of strangers, strangers of different races, ideals, and reasons. He stood there contemplating his choices. He knew by himself he was no match and could do nothing to avenge his slain family and town but were his odds of completing this goal any better with this group? What could he do? Would he even be strong enough to do anything?
As the questions poured into Bane's conscience thoughts, a familiar smell waved past his nostrils. His thoughts and questions instantly stopped as this smell took over his thoughts. Bane took in a deep breath, trying to take in every last drop of this faint aroma, the aroma of the roses growing within the forest. Their red pedals coated in crimson blood. Bane closed his eyes, regardless of his lack of sight to begin with.

Bane laid helpless on the ground when he felt his captors grip loosen around his ankle. Bane heard the demon beginning to convulse. He heard the demon excrete his bowels and entrails from both his mouth and his ass. The splatter of the demon's innards were soon followed by the foulest stench Bane had ever smelled. Trying to hold his breath, Bane struggled to get himself back onto his hooves. He heard the demon fall to the ground as groans left his body from his mouth and exposed organs exploding.
Bane surveyed the area around him looking for his savior. Unknown to who aided him, Bane collected himself and collected his axe from the ground again, ready to charge into the next fight.

The chaos around Bane soon become too much. The cries, the clashing, the thuds, and cracks overwhelmed him. The smell of blood from at least fifty bodies mixed in the air making any one of the unrecognizable. For the first time, in a long time, Bane felt the burden of his blindness. He stood motionless, unable to navigate his way through this battle.
A sudden crack to his ribs awakened him from this hesitation. He felt the hardened wood of a demons club make impact with his ribs. Bane cried out with a loud grunt as he feel to the ground from the impact. The ground beneath him did very little to comfort his fall as he laid upon it. Acting out of instinct, still unable to get a sense of the world around him, Bane rolled quickly to his left. The enemies club crashed into the ground, the crack emanating just an inch away from him.
Bane thrusted his hooves towards where he thought his oppressor would be but found nothing but air. He scrambled on the ground trying to get free when he felt the stern grip of his enemy grab his ankle. Swallowing his pride, Bane yelled out "Help!"

Bane sat in his cage quietly, taking in the smells and sounds that surrounded him. The foul stench of his demon captives filled his senses, blinding him to what else laid beyond his cage. The chitter chatter of the other humans, demons, and angels bombarded his ears, disgusting him that he feel pray to the same demons who managed to capture these humans.
Suddenly, the sound of glass silenced everyone as the smell of the flammable liquid wafted through the air. Bane raised himself, alerted and alarmed to what this new event meant. Flames soon erupted around the cage as the warmth brushed up against Bane's fur. Human yelling soon followed as the battle began. Swords and chains clanked together followed by the sound of flesh ripping from its host. The bones, wood, and metal of the cages soon began to give away as unknown humans rescued all of them from their prison.
Bane hesitated only for a second at the shame of being rescued by humans. Giving way to this shame, Bane jumped at the opportunity of freedom and joined the others in their fight against their captors. Angles, demons, humans, and the in between, much like himself, all joined forces to overcome these oppressors.
Bane placed his aim on the imp that sat on the caravan that had held them. Sick of his incessant chatter, the blood that soon filled the streets began to empower Bane. The smell of the iron filled liquid poured through the air as he sniffed up every last bit. Fueling his anger even further, Bane lept up on top of the cart, hoping to find his victim. He stood still for only a brief moment to collect himself. He focused on the snickers that left the imps mouth uncontrollably. Locating his presence, Bane ran across the bones that covered the wagon and thrusted his horns toward the imp. In the nick of time, the imp had managed to teleport himself out of the way and onto the ground. Even the soft landing of the minuscule demon upon the pavement was enough for Bane to recognize his new location.
He jumped off of the caravan near the imp ready to attack again. As he took a step forward, he felt the cold steel of an axe beneath his hoof. He bent down to grab the weapon. He lid his hand against the sharp blade and accustomed himself to the weight. He rose it up in the air and charged toward the imp. As if acting upon instinct, the imp jumped backwards firing a bolt from his hand. Bane heard the crackle of the imps attack and quickly jumped to his left missing the attack. He jumped back to the right re-centering himself on his charge towards the imp. He swung the axe with all of his might towards the imp. As the imp once again disappeared, his axe drove deep into the wood of a near by tree. Bane lifted his leg and placed his hoof against the trunk. With all of his strength, he pushed off of the tree releasing his axe from its holding place.
Bane regathered himself and again charged for the imp. He rose his axe in the air again, ready to attempt his attack again. However, not to be fooled again, Bane hesitated his attack as the imp teleported again in an act of defense. With one quick sniff of the air, Bane relocated his target and swung his axe behind him, severing the imps right arm from the rest of his body. Bane quickly turned around and grabbed the demon by his throat. Holding him up high above the street, the imps feet flailed back and forth as he struggled to free himself from the strength of Bane's grip. Before giving him the chance, Bane shoved his victim into the pavement below, shattering his skull and spilling his brains onto the streets.
He stood for a second to hear some humans calling for help as others bravely fought against the demonic forces. Usually not one to join any group of humans or anything other than other goatmen, Bane knew this was his only chance to survive this ordeal. For now, he would fight side by side with these other captives in their fight for freedom.
