Haven't read much of it, but "the alchemist" doesn't sound like "the hero set out to destroy Hell and its minions".
eh you could be right on that subject. but i was thinking of inovation and something new.
but some things me and a friend was talking about offensive skills. one was that when a monster is near lets say 4 pieces of metal armor and 2 pieces of swords. the monster would be trapped in a metal cage getting stabbed by swords. a problem with this is how to get the armor and swords next to the monster close enough.
another thing i thought of was of an earthy attack. like maybe flame wave? maybe a earth wave. or taking peices of earth and having them magically thrown at the enemy.
idk. if anyone has any ideas. stupid or not. doesnt matter. throw them out there.
well no. thats why i said that lazurk took the gun to his grave. and also in the thread link. its say shtat quek qual. was talking about it. and it seemed like he thought lazurk was crazy for thinking of it. or thats what i was thinking of. so maybe his aprentice wouldve thought that too. so he was more interested in the chemical aspect of it then the weapon gun thing of it.
still no offensive skills come to mind...come on mind think damn you!!!
its from this thread. it talks about guns and lazurk. im thinking maybe he couldve had an aprrentice working with him. and maybe lazurk never told anyone the true secret of the gun. but maybe he taught him the powered chemical he wouldve used. so lets say 20 years....lazurk couldve died. he took the secrets of the gun with him. but his aprentice...has not only learned the power...but has learned about more of them. and mixes and trial and error
this could be a possibly good background for a alchemist class.
also in that thread they talk about the exploding potion and gas potion. this could be the alchemist weapon of choice.
well. its not just that one class idea. do you think there could be a way to have more offensive skills put in place?
and yes i do kinda see how this is a witch doctor type of thing. but still could there be any offensive skills to implement with a alchemist type class.
hey as i was playing diablo 2 on single player and saw the iron golem pop up at the begining. i thought....hmmm alchemist would be a pretty cool class to play.
so im thinking with the use of globes. the alchemist could use some method of using dead bodies to drop more globes. and or have maybe a passive skill to increase the amount of health in a globe dropped.
then he could get the iron golem skill thing. but instead of one item. you could have several items in a radius type of thing. that kinda mixes together into a bigger golem the more items you grab. (problem with this is the necromancer skill, which might come back in expansion)
well this is just something i just thought about and wondered what you guys would think about an alchemist class. seems more like a supporter class. but could have some offensive skills. im not sure. i cant think of anything off the toop of my head.
if anyone thinks this is lame or could be a possibility please post a comment about it.
