that probably streams from your typical american lack of knowledge, sorry i didnt mean to offend any americans out there but there is like 3 movies with males cows?wtf that cant happen, male bovine is a Bull, female bovine is a Cow. just like Bull Elephant and Cow Elephant.
i was actually unaware that male/female elephants were called bull elephant and cow elephant...intriguing... i wonder what cow elephant milk taste like
It could very well be that whoever came up with Bartuc the Bloody was just scrolling through the list of Diablo names at Blizzard and thought, "Yeah, let's just call him that."
Maybe, they never realised that "Cow King" is actually a contradiction in terms so...
Edit- And they forgot about lillith and the seven major evils... spose there is probably other small things wrong with the lore if you look hard enough
Edit2- Although the lore surrounding lillith was added later in the novels right?
So youre saying that the Bartuc that follows around Baal is the actual physical body of Bartuc reincarnated and the Bartuc you fight in Diablo 1 is just his armor which has bits of his soul left inside?
In one of the novels (cant remember which one) i remember reading the first chapter where some warrior puts on his glove and gets corrupted.
EDIT-im a bit slow lol, i should of just read the past posts
only Hephesto the Armorer has first part to his name, The Smith is just called The Smith, likewise for The Butcher, least in the games anyway, it could be different in the novels or lore, if the feature.
Is the infomation given in the Diablo novels counted as official lore by blizzard?

That would be great wouldn't it? I picture the mirrors all reflecting a lot of glaring light just to really illuminate Inarius so he can see himself all the better. That would be a chilling cutscene.
Hopefully there is a cinematic in Diablo 3 which involves travelling into inarius' chamber of mirrors, with the awesome graphics that blizzard allways has in their cinematics that would be amazing
Is there any other Overlords throughout Diablo1,2,lod... because im certain there is 1 more and its killing me because i cant remember!!!!
1-Hephasto the Armorer guarding the Hellforge
2-Something the Smith guarding the Horadric Malus
3-Something the Butcher from Diablo 1
4-????
Also, does pandemonium diablo and the uber bosses even tie into any lore at all? or was it just a last effort to keep some people playing Diablo 2 lod?
Is lillith in the diablo lore or only in the diablo books?
Are the diablo books backed by blizzard as official diablo lore?

Eventually, we're all worm food. Even the worms.
