And one of my noob clanmates who just had a lvl 70 wiz barely able to do t1 commenting on my chat "at least you got a mirrorball"... I was about to punch his face and kick him from clan...
Part of the problem with the "new generation" of Diablo players (people who weren't in their late-teens when D2 launched) is that many of them seem to think that just by playing the game for 2 hours (exaggeration!) they should have all the best items.
Man! I have been farming T1 for a full day. Life sucks. Blizz, buff drop rates please!
You were here for the "loot servers" stuff. You know how stupid the average player is.
People swore up and down the street that they could get better loot from better IP addresses. Swore. Even though everyone knew it was the most preposterous idea ever.
If you ignore the "whole picture" it's really easy to see patterns in smaller portions of the data and wrongly conclude that there are "clusters" where there really aren't. The human mind is very easily tricked into believing this stuff.
He's saying "The best legendaries should always have good rolls". Which you are supporting, and I find ridiculous.
If it's that OP, you'll use it anyway. Just like my Odyn's Son with no Str and crappy damage. I think it's crazy that they would make the drops that you already destroy everything else in search for, even better by default.
That don't make any damn sense at all.
I agree. It's completely inside-out to take items that are already better-than-average and ensure that they don't roll poorly. All that does is make the other items suck more, comparatively speaking.
The only real issue items have is that the common legendaries tend to be ones without "legendary properties" which tend to make them bad compared to the rare ones. But I really have trouble believing that anyone is questioning whether they should use a good Pig Sticker (or Nutcracker, or Nailbiter, or Sultan of the Blinding Sand) versus a below-average Thunderfury or Shard of Hate or Wand of Woh.
The *bad* rare legendaries are generally just as good as the *good* common legendaries. So I don't quite see a problem.
