Thorns was classed as 'physical element' has that been disabled?

thorns are physical (escept the demon set bonus thorns which are fire, afaik the only non physical thorns) BUT they're not skill damage and as such do not benefit from physical skill damage % boost

blocking is a good part of the invoker stacking, hamelin spawned on me and i was just starting him when the rats spawned invoker stacked so high the rat just keeled over, it took me a second to understand what just happened

you cant use LoN with other sets, but you can use it with thorns and heaven's fury with hack, its how the 121 gr was cleared on sc (pre nerf LoN and st archew semi invulnerability bug)

only things that worked on basic thorns before 2.3 :

- 25% of primary stat

- passives (iron maiden)

- elite damage % bonus

now with 2.3 they changed 25% of primary stat to 100% so thorns now on live get the full boost

a quick journey on the ptr revealed that more things now work with thorns

- bane of the trapped (and by extension bane of the stricken)

- power pylon

- skills that increase overall damage (holy cause, akarats champion)

those two suggest that akkhan bonus, legacy of nightmares, focus and restraint and all similar multipliers should work (havent tested them yet)

now for what still DOESNT work with basic thorns damage (or at least i didnt see any changes from it) :

- crit chance and damage

- attack speed

- elemental and skill damage %

will test some more stuff later and edit this post
