I'm a casualoid player, that poured a thousand hours playing with friends, not following leaderboards and compettition.
From my point of view...the issues about D3:
- people looking for challenge, while this game is mainly about RNG.
There is no skills or competition..it's just like a slotmachine. It's not a moba! nor a fps! it's a arpg.
- devs nearly abandoned D3, with slow contents release and only thousands of hours of grind to get BiS items.
Let me clarify it: i played D3 because I like killing bazillions of mobs and random spawning skills, in arcade-style...and then get some loot.
I'm not interested in pvp or ladders or board. just love to hack and slash maps.
D3 delivers exactly this..................but it's boring after a while.
Because there's no variety in it.
No theorycrafting, 99% of loot that's sharded without even identifying, no interesting side effects of items. just repetition.

just make pl a QoL improvement to satisfy hardcore/nolifers: put a cap to it, with a very low and unconvenient curve of growth of the char or even remove that progression in grift directly tied to exp...like level 99 in poe. -where level counts and is a demonstration of dedition and effort but most part of builds just need 80lvl to function, then it matter of gear and skill.
give back dignity to the loot hunt: trade, intelligent droprates not too grindy and intrusive, variety in gear sets and builds and classes.
d3 has population,fans and trademark, server, devs and money to make THE game to rewrite the story of arpgs...instead of leaving it agonisizing in boring grifts, botting, meaningless pl.

Well, the titles describes my idea sufficiently well.
PL is a meaningless run on a wheel for me, and made me quit since many months.
Exp-ing is boring...and is also unfair, as if i can't afford to play (or bot, as we know, and i hate it) all seasons, 24-7, I'll always be back in grifts, even if perfeclty built and geared.
I'd prefer to go back to a gear and build game..with common rare and impossibile items...
and maybe a bit like poe, with a cap level very difficult to get but a lot of builds that make you competitive soon at lvl 80: casual-friendly builds, expensive builds and tough ones.
Not a pl treadmill as a hamster.

Yes. In arpg, loot should be the endgame, not just experience/pl farming.
Still, i believe that instead of the Best in Slot, it should be trying new builds.
Not simply that must-have cookiecutter build with that item everybody is looking for, and obviously the rarest one with high costs, low rates or mandatory crafting.
A bit like poe, with easy, expensive or so-and-so builds.

hi, I'm tired of playing in public parties where there are low pl, bad geared and obv noob players trying to leech.
I'm not a "pro", but my gear and pl is enough.

ok, for the bloodshards increase of course.
but the solo-leaderboard on which that increase is based...is that we already have?

I read that 2.2. will raise bloodshards' cap, depending on the highest grift cleared in solo.
I thought..as leaderboards are reset from today (3rd "era"), patch on friday will rely on the highest solo grift from today or needs to wait the patch to go live?

@Preach: the main things I care about for my playstyle atm...is movement speed/ quick control of battlefield...AND being tough to be killed, not downed for a second-long distraction o a bad click.
so, swiftness and good survivabiliity with a dps role (not tank)
ps: mmm maybe monk's lore and animations are quite interesting IMHO, but in d3 it's more a matter of role/class gameplay/ best builds than aesthetics ^^
hope there will be some graphic features for customizing char aspect (beard, moustache, hairstyle, etc..T.T)

I played DH for a long time, as a typical DPS-squishy-glasscannon build.
But i feel a little bored about staying ranged, dying with a single hit, spinning all around maps avoiding aoe's and anything else.
Can you suggest me a melee DPS-build/class I can deliver a sufficient DPS but stop worrying about dying 30times a minute in rifts/ 35+ grifts?
or also a "off-tank"... (no WD as I already have a decent one in non-season)
